Chabad of Nebraska

Chabad of Nebraska A community for all. Strengthening lives through education, action, and kindness, and inspiring people to grow with purpose, joy, and care for one another.

Our Center is built on a simple belief: every individual has something invaluable to contribute and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Located near 120th and Center, Chabad of Nebraska serves people of all backgrounds, without barriers or labels. We focus on the whole person—supporting both physical and spiritual well-being. Through our Food Pantry, we nourish not only bodies, but he

arts and minds. We also provide crisis support, counseling, prison and hospital chaplaincy, assistance for individuals undergoing medical treatment, and ongoing spiritual guidance. We are here to help, to uplift, and to stand with every person on their journey.

A Foundation Built by Community

As we prepare for Shabbat, we’re pausing to reflect on the people whose generosity, friendship, and belief in our community have helped bring the Chabad Community Campus of Mid-America to life.

This week, we’re especially grateful for the Fellman and Goldstein families, whose friendship and support of Chabad of Nebraska have spanned our 40 years in Nebraska. Their commitment to our community is part of the foundation upon which this next chapter is being built.

Standing together with Rabbi and Shani Katzman, with the new campus rising behind them, is a beautiful reminder that a building is never just bricks and concrete. It is built by people, relationships, shared values, and a vision for the future.

And now, that vision is taking shape. Construction is moving forward, with foundation work underway and each new stage bringing us closer to a space where Jewish life, learning, connection, celebration, and community can flourish for generations to come.

We know this new campus will make all our supporters and their families proud, and that the entire Omaha community will see themselves in its future!

We invite you to come learn more, share your ideas, and help us imagine what’s possible. How do you envision this space serving Omaha? What programs, experiences, and opportunities would you love to see grow here?

The Katzman and Tenenbaum families would love to hear from you!!

Shabbat Shalom from the Chabad Community Campus! 🕯️✨

When was the last time you paused to say thank you? This week’s Torah reading reveals why real joy is impossible until we make sure those around us can celebrate too. 👉

On Friday, August 14, friends and supporters gathered at Chabad of Nebraska for Building the Future: Nosh & Know, hosted by Don Goldstein. Together, we celebrated 40 years of Chabad in Nebraska and looked ahead to an exciting new chapter.

Guests heard from Don Goldstein, Yana Baravik, and Ed Horwitz, along with updates from Rabbi Mendel and Shani Katzman and members of our building team about Chabad’s impact, the progress of the new Chabad Community Campus, and the vision for the future.

And the conversation is just beginning.

We are now inviting friends in the community to host their own small Parlor Meeting and bring together a few friends, neighbors, or colleagues to learn more about Chabad’s impact over the past 40 years and what is being built for the future.

Interested in hosting? Gather a few people you think should be part of the conversation, and our team will help make it easy, meaningful, and engaging.
