A couple weekends ago, we had the opportunity to celebrate 90 years of Good News Church!

We’re so grateful for God’s faithfulness through the years and excited for all He will continue to do here.

TESTIMONY TUESDAY
Lupe Espinoza came into the world fighting. Born three months early, she almost didn't make it, and she would spend years learning how many more times she'd have to fight just to survive.

Abuse as a child left her carrying silence and pain for decades. By 14 she was using drugs and drinking to cope, and it only got heavier from there — through marriage, kids, and losses that kept piling up, including her oldest sister's death in 2019, which sent her spiraling further. She tried to find her way back to God more than once, but a voice in her head kept telling her she wasn't worthy of His love. So she stopped trying.
When her mother died in January 2024, she turned to alcohol to survive the grief. October 2025 was the last night she drank until she blacked out.

Her mother-in-law had been telling her for a long time that God loves her. So Lupe started going to church. On February 8, 2026, she walked into Good News Church and felt something she hadn't felt in a long time, something in her chest that made her cry and keep crying.

She kept coming back. And on April 12, she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and committed to be baptized.
God met her in the middle of all of it and never let go. Thank you Jesus for Lupe.

Have you been thinking about baptism? This month is the perfect time to take that next step. Celebration Sunday is coming up on August 23rd, and our Baptism Class is THIS Sunday, August 9th. Sign up today to attend and take your next step toward being baptized.

We just wrapped up our Philippians series this past Sunday.

Your mind is being shaped every day.
The question is:
By truth... or by everything else?
Philippians 4 calls us to intentionally fix our minds on what is true, honorable, pure, and praiseworthy.

Which verse from Philippians speaks to you most?
