Dear Friends in Christ,
I am looking forward to seeing many of you this weekend at St. Leo for the Summer Mission Appeal. Originally there was a missionary slated to speak at St. Leo, but due to visa issues, that missionary is unable to join us in Omaha. Therefore, I will be preaching at the Masses concerning the needs and opportunities for the mission in the Apostolic Prefecture of Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia. The Catholic faith is a mustard seed in Mongolia, a vast country located between Russia and China. About half of the 3.5 million people there are Buddhists and many people have no religious affiliation. Catholic missionaries have served in Mongolia since the collapse of the Soviet Union, and do excellent work caring for youth, families and the elderly. I look forward to sharing more with you this weekend and encourage your generous response in the special collection.

Happy Father’s Day!
God our Father, in your wisdom and love you made all things. Bless our Fathers, that they may be strengthened as Christians Fathers. Let the example of their faith and love shine forth. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honor them always with a spirit of profound respect. Grant this through Christ our Lord. +Amen.

Fr. Craig update! Fr. Craig has been moved to Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, where he will continue bed rest for a few more days and then start sitting therapy which hopefully means he will be home soon. Today he was able to have some very special visitors: Henry & Lola. It was a wonderful reunion. 😀🐶

Fr. Craig loves visitors, so feel free to stop by and say Hi. He is in room 12.

May God continue to bless Fr. Craig and grant him successful healing. +Amen
