Today’s Solemnity of Corpus Christi invites us to remember, receive, and be transformed by the living presence of Christ in the Eucharist. It is the last of the major springtime feasts, marking a transition from the Easter season into Ordinary Time, yet it reminds us that Christ’s gift of Himself is not seasonal — it is eternal

Get ready for the weekend with Father Larry Gillick's homily:
Father Larry Gillick’s homily for the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ focused on the Eucharist as a living remembrance that makes the past present. Drawing on Moses’ call to “remember,” he explained that sacraments transform a “then” into a “now,” just as Jesus’ actions at the Last Supper and on the cross remain alive and active in every Eucharistic celebration. Father Gillick emphasized that the Eucharist is not only about believing that Christ is present in the bread and wine, but also recognizing that we become Christ’s body in the world. Through acts of service, kindness, compassion, and care for others, we continue Christ’s presence and mission. He concluded by reminding the congregation that, like the Eucharist itself, we are blessed, transformed, and sent forth to be living sacraments of God’s love for others.

Father Larry Gillick’s homily for Trinity Sunday focused not on explaining the mystery of the Trinity, but on living within it. He reflected on humanity’s constant desire to know and understand everything, noting that our minds and hearts are always reaching for more. Father Gillick suggested that God’s love is revealed not by giving us all the answers, but by continually inviting us deeper into faith through Jesus Christ. He described the Holy Spirit as the gift that gives us the wisdom, patience, and humility to live with mystery, trusting even when we do not fully understand. Ultimately, he emphasized that the Trinity is actively at work in our lives, continually creating, inviting, and nurturing us as we grow in our relationship with God.
