What is a Hero?
“Courageous, self-sacrificing people, setting examples for all of us... Everybody loves a hero. People line up for them. Cheer them. Scream their names. And years later, they'll tell how they stood in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse of the one who taught them to hold on a second longer... I believe there's a hero in all of us that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble...”
This summer your camper will have the chance to be a hero for someone else.
During camp we will be hosting our Hero Run for Help where your camper will be able to raise money for kids in need.
Your camper will receive a link they can send home to their families and friends to raise money for children that are in desperate need of help and care. They will then get to “conquer the Guantlet” and run through a 95 ft obstacle course. The fastest times will win an award.
Should the camp raise $1000.00 then Bishop Lloyd will play Cow Tongue Soccer with the kids!
Put on your capes and cowls and let’s give hope to those who need it!
