The Rev. Gordon Braun was ordained to the priesthood this evening at Grace Episcopal Church in Columbus, Nebraska. Father Gordon, who also serves as a chaplain at Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk, will begin his ministry as Priest-in-Charge at Grace Church next month. Please join us in praying for Father Gordon, his family, and his ministries, as we give thanks to God for his ordination to the sacred order of priests!

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, just north of Rushville, Nebraska on highway 87, is the steward of the diocese’s largest cemetery. From a hill overlooking the historic white church and the rolling Sandhills of Sheridan County, the Holly Cemetery is a peaceful resting place in one of Nebraska’s most beautiful landscapes. This Memorial Day, May 25th, Bishop Barker will join the people of St. Mary’s for a special outdoor Eucharist on the cemetery grounds. The service will take place at 10:30 am, and all are welcome!
