CBC Youth Urban Plunge Team We're going on a mission trip - in our hometown of Omaha!

This summer twelve Junior High students and three adults from Community Bible Church will be going on a mission trip - right in our hometown of Omaha! From June 26-July 1 they will be doing the Urban Plunge, reaching out and serving the poor and needy here in Omaha in partnership with several inner city ministries.

Thank you everyone for your prayers for our Urban Plunge week! Here is a picture from this morning with our facilitator for the week - Sean Perry. He led our group to all the locations, made us laugh, and was a great encouragement as he shared his life and love for Jesus with us.

Slight change of plans for our second ministry today. We are serving Scatter Joy Acres but instead of going to the ranch we are helping at their firework stand. A little disappointing to not get to be with the animals but they need the help here so a great chance to serve!

Today is the day! Thanks to those who have supported us already through prayers and donations. Tonight we head to our dorms, meet our leader for the week, and begin our Plunge!
