Mathew 7;24-27
In this scripture, we read about knowing that God's word is like building a house on a rock; when we have that strong foundation, we can not fall or be shaken. Remind you of another story? As a child, I'm sure you heard the story of "The Three Little Pigs". Let me recap for you; there were 3 little pig brothers, all of them were building a house. The first little pig decided he would build his house out of wood. Oh it was a beautiful house, very comfortable and just what he wanted. The second little pig wanted his house up quickly; so, he decided to build his house out of straw. He felt so proud because he was finished in no time. The third little pig, the smartest of the 3, decided he would build his house out of bricks. It took him a little longer, placing each brick perfectly to be the best it could be. Then one day, the big bad wolf comes along. He goes to the first two little pigs houses and huffs and puffs and blows their houses right over causing them to scramble to the third brothers house (the one that built his house out of bricks) for safety. That wolf huffed and puffed and could not even shake that house. When we build our lives (houses) from a sturdy foundation (our God), we will never be shaken or fall apart and can weather any (wolf) that comes along! Have a blessed day! :)

James 2:14-17
"What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, "Go in peace; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. Wow! What a verse! So many people that claim to be a follower of Christ go to church on Sunday but are vacant the rest of the week. Its time to put our money where our mouth is.. If we follow Christ, then we need to put our faith in action and do something! It doesn't matter if it is serving at your church, soup kitchen, or blood drive or helping a neighbor mow their grass or take out the garbage. We need to show them we care and that they matter; regardless of where they are in life. We all matter to God; look at them the way Christ does and love and help them. Have a good lent season.God Loves Ya ;)

Acts 4:12
We all have a story of "how Jesus saved our lives". For some, it may have happened as a young child attending church with a family member; for others, they may have had a tragic experience happen in their life or maybe Jesus dug them out of an addiction. Whatever our story may be, it needs to be shared with others. You might say, "Oh, I could never bring up my past again" or "no way am I reliving that painful experience again". We need to use our stories as testimonies of what God has done and will do for others. I believe this is one of our many missions here on Earth. We need to tell how God brought us out of the ruts, destruction and the deepest of pits and gave us new life. He breathed new air, His air, in our lungs and renewed our hearts so that we could trust and love again. He gave us new strength to get up and start all over! Praise God He saved us! I encourage you today, share your story with someone. They may be going through some terrible times and feeling so alone, your story may be just what they need to hear to get them back on their feet again and ask Jesus for help. Have a blessed day! :)
