PART 6:
Blasphemy and the false leader

Matthew 24:24: Jesus explicitly warns, "For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect".

2 Corinthians 11:13-15: Paul cautions that false apostles and deceitful workers will disguise themselves as "apostles of Christ" just as Satan disguises himself as an "angel of light."

Donald Trump has mocked Jesus and the Bible on several occasions yet at the same time he desperately imitates Jesus so far as to portray and mimic Jesus as a messiah type figure. Needless to say there is but one Savior in Christianity and that is Jesus and anyone else who compares themselves to or tries to elevate themselves to that level is playing with blasphemy.

The video link below reveals several ways in which Trump has tried to mimic Jesus and how he desperately wants people to worship him and treat him as a type of worldly savior. Jesus warned of false Christs and false prophets who would try to trick people into worshiping them instead of Christ, even while claiming to be a follower of Christ. Trump followers have a cult like fascination and love of Trump, claiming he is a chosen one of God while ignoring the actual teachings and commands of Jesus.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:15-20 that false prophets come in sheep's clothing but are inwardly fierce wolves. You will recognize them by their character, pride, and actions.

President Trump's former ghostwriter Tony Schwartz stated : "Trump is not only willing to lie, but he doesn't get bothered by it, doesn't feel guilty about it, isn't preoccupied by it," Schwartz said. "There's an emptiness inside Trump. There's an absence of a soul. There's an absence of a heart."

During his interviews and public appearances, Schwartz has characterized Trump as having a severe lack of conscience, which he has described as being "almost purely evil".

While Trump may not be THE anti Christ he definitely displays actions, thoughts and words that are completely in opposition of the Gospel and love that Jesus taught and lived out. Trump is a master manipulator and a pathological liar who deceives others and demands loyalty and worship. He has used those traits to enflame many Christians to turn from the message of forgiveness and love that Jesus demands into a false Christianity that demands retribution, political violence and force.

2 Timothy 4:3-4
New International Version
3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

PART 5:
Blasphemy and the false leader

Deuteronomy 4:2
New International Version
2 Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.

The Bible is THE Word of God by which true Christians are to emulate and live their lives by. It is the story of the Christian's Lord and Savior Jesus and is meant to inspire, guide, teach and reveal the glory and divinity of the one true God. It is NOT to be messed or tampered with in ANY way as is warned by the verse above.

Anyone, especially a bible believing christian, who tries to add or take anything from the Bible or use it in a manner other than the way God intended is blatantly committing blasphemy. So when Trump decided to endorse the addition of The U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, the Pledge of Allegiance as well as a handwritten chorus to country singer Lee Greenwood’s patriotic anthem, "God Bless the U.S.A." and then hawk them for $59 and up there is simply no explanation or excuse except for him being utterly blasphemous.

In addition to the regular Trump bibles, in 2024 "the latest edition of the ‘God Bless America’ Bible was released. Signed by Donald Trump himself and selling for $1,000, including an inscription saying: “The day God intervened: July 18, 2024”. This is a reference to the first attempt on Trump’s life on the campaign trail, and part of an ongoing attempt to position him as a new ‘chosen one’, commissioned by God to protect American culture from the evils of secular liberalism." (see link to full article - https://www.premierchristianity.com/opinion/the-new-trump-bible-makes-a-mockery-of-scriptures-true-message/18341.article)

Loran Livingston, a North Carolina pastor, blasted the Trump bible as disgusting and blasphemous telling his congregation that the Gospel is not an American Gospel but the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

For Trump, notoriously famous for his inability to name a single favorite Bible verse during his 2016 campaign, to endorse and promote a Bible that has added American documents and lyrics from a song is quite possibly one of his most blasphemous moments of many. Once again as Pastor Livingston stated, "the Gospel is not an American Gospel but the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ" for all people. The pattern is clear, Trump is a deceiver and mocks Jesus and the Gospel using it as a prop and a way to gain power, influence and wealth.

Even at this, it is my hope that one day he might crack open the Bible and open his heart to what the true message of the Gospel is and quit going down the destructive path he is on now.

Proverbs 30:5-6
New International Version
5 “Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
6 Do not add to his words,
or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.

True Christianity and christian nationalism merged with political ideology are not the same thing but actually opposites to one another - even AI seems to understand this:

AI Overview
The Sermon on the Mount and Christian nationalism represent fundamentally opposed worldviews. The Sermon is a spiritual mandate for humility, universal love, and nonviolence, rejecting earthly empire. In contrast, Christian nationalism seeks political power and cultural dominance, often merging religious and patriotic identities to achieve societal control.A direct comparison of their core values reveals stark contradictions:

1. The Use of Power
Sermon on the Mount: Jesus champions the powerless and renounces coercion. He teaches "blessed are the meek" and demands radical vulnerability, even commanding his followers to turn the other cheek and go the extra mile rather than fight for dominance.

Christian Nationalism: This ideology is defined by a quest for political and cultural power. It actively seeks to align the state with Christian values, using legal mechanisms, courts, and elections to establish a privileged status for Christianity within a specific nation.

2. View of "The Enemy"
Sermon on the Mount: Jesus explicitly commands his followers to "love your enemies" (Matthew 5:44) and to do good to those who persecute them.

Christian Nationalism: This ideology tends to define society as a battleground between a "righteous" in-group (the true believers/patriots) and an "evil" out-group. It often weaponizes political opposition as a spiritual threat that must be defeated rather than loved.

3. Identity and Allegiance
Sermon on the Mount: A believer's primary identity and allegiance belong entirely to the universal, transnational Kingdom of God. Disciples are called to be a countercultural "salt and light" in the world rather than an enforcer of state laws.

Christian Nationalism: This framework blurs the lines between a specific nation (e.g., the United States) and the Kingdom of God. It often conflates faith with patriotism, placing nationalistic pride on par with, or above, biblical mandates.

4. Violence vs. Peacemaking
Sermon on the Mount: "Blessed are the peacemakers" (Matthew 5:9). Jesus advocates for reconciliation, forgiveness, and the total rejection of worldly retaliation.

Christian Nationalism: Historically and culturally, this movement is frequently associated with the use or endorsement of force to protect perceived Christian interests, secure borders, and assert cultural dominance.

5. Wealth and Vulnerability
Sermon on the Mount: Jesus warns against the idolatry of wealth ("You cannot serve God and money," Matthew 6:24), instructs the rich to give to the needy, and condemns self-righteous public piety.

Christian Nationalism: The movement frequently aligns with capitalistic dominance and the amassment of societal status. Where the Sermon demands humility and hidden charity, nationalism often requires public displays of power and national exceptionalism.

Trump, many who identify as MAGA, far right extreme evangelical pastors and many others who believe in christian nationalism are actually opposed to the true teachings and commands that Jesus expressed and lived in the Bible. They are focused on the things of this world (power, wealth, pride, revenge, ego) and follow a false bible and a false leader.

PART 4:
Blasphemy and the false leader

Jesus taught to "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's" (Mark 12:17).

Believers are called to give their ultimate loyalty, worship, and hearts to God, not to earthly leaders or political parties.

On April 2026 at the White House Easter gathering Paula White-Cain said the following (article from TNR):

Televangelist and faith adviser Paula White-Cain sparked significant backlash during an April 2026 White House Easter gathering when she compared President Donald Trump’s personal, legal, and political struggles directly to the suffering, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“Jesus taught so many lessons through his death, burial, and resurrection. He showed us great leadership, great transformation requires great sacrifice. And Mr. President, no one has paid the price like you have paid the price. It almost cost you your life,” White-Cain said with the president standing behind her. “You were betrayed and arrested and falsely accused. It’s a familiar pattern that our lord and savior showed us. But it didn’t end there for him, and it didn’t end there for you.”

White-Cain, who has claimed in the past that the White House is “holy ground” and that “to say no to President Trump would be saying no to God,” went on to connect Trump with the Easter holiday.

“God always had a plan: On the third day, he rose, he defeated evil, he conquered death, hell, and the grave. And because he rose, we all know that we can rise. And sir, because of his resurrection, you rose up,” White-Cain continued. “Because he was victorious, you are victorious. And I believe that the Lord said to tell you this: Because of his victory, you will be victorious in all you put your hands to.”

Trump silently said “thank you” as White-Cain concluded her speech to applause from the room. (end of article)

While these words coming from Paula White-Cain (widely known as a "false teacher" and a leading proponent of the heretical "prosperity gospel"), are not a huge surprise what strikes me is Trump's response. Instead of clarifying that he should not be compared to Jesus as a self professed Christian, knowing that is wrong and at the very least borderline blasphemous, he says thank you and basks in the applause and admiration of the crowd.

Many prominent religious leaders widely characterized her remarks as blasphemy for blurring the lines between politics and the sinless Son of God. There was so much criticism the White House removed the video segment of the remarks.

Comparing oneself or letting others compare you to Jesus is walking a thin line of idolatry, pride and blasphemy. This is yet another example of Trump and his spiritual advisors making Trump into a messianic figure.

Acts 12: 21-23

21 On the appointed day Herod, wearing his royal robes, sat on his throne and delivered a public address to the people. 22 They shouted, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.” 23 Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.

Pastors, bishops, and reverends joined President Trump at the White House for Easter prayers.Pastor Paula White-Cain, a spiritual advisor to the president, l...

PART 3:
Blasphemy and the false leader

The chosen one

The phrase "I have seen and I testify that this is God's Chosen One" is found in John 1:34 (NIV). In this verse, John the Baptist testifies that Jesus is the Son of God after witnessing the Spirit descend upon him.

The Bible is clear - there is only one Messiah, only one Chosen One to save the world and that is Jesus. In the reference video below Trump is shown proclaiming he is the chosen one in regards to dealing with China. Now again just those words alone do not inherently make them blasphemous however taken in the context of how Trump said them and how others have labeled him as the chosen one it becomes problematic.

When Trump proclaimed he is the chosen one, he actually looks to the sky as though mimicking the baptism of Jesus - looking to the heavens for God's approval. And while he said that on a different occasion, on Easter of 2024 he reposted an article about how a social media columnist claimed that he was the chosen one once again. Note, that Trump does not rebuke this comparison to Jesus as the chosen one but revels in it so much as to thank the columnist three times and repost it on Easter of all days. A true Christian would not entertain the thought of being compared to Jesus in any way but Trump, a self proclaimed christian, expresses gratitude and embraces the moniker. He may be someone's chosen one but he is not America's savior and definitely not the savior of the world.

One last thought on this is how far right conservatives, pastors and people who claim to be Christians gleefully accept this portrayal of Trump as the chosen one so much as to write articles and songs about it while comparing him to Jesus. They heap praise and worship on Trump as some ambassador from God while ignoring God's own words of recognizing false leaders by their fruit (a method of spiritual discernment to identify genuine believers and false teachers based on the observable outcomes and character of their lives. Matthew 7:16).

Add this to the list of questionable words and actions by Trump that veer way too close to acting, comparing and portraying himself as a messiah or savior that people worship and idolize.

Luke 23:35
New International Version
35 The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, “He saved others; let him save himself if he is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One.”

You probably remember Wayne Allyn Root. He is the gentleman who, about 4 years ago, proclaimed that “In Israel, Trump is loved like the King of the Jews.” An over-the-top statement if there ever was o...
