Jesus is the perfect prophet, priest, and king. He is better than any other leader, and He perfectly fulfilled all the duties of all three main kinds of leaders. Jesus, our great High Priest, brought a better covenant. In the new covenant, Jesus’ perfect righteousness frees us from the burden of the law. We can rest in God’s love for us, knowing that we are saved by faith, not works.

The Bible teaches that all people are born in sin, and so we all need a Savior. That is why the gospel is so beautiful. What is the gospel? The gospel is the good news that God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to rescue sinners—not just some sinners, but all sinners who have faith in Jesus.

God showed Peter that just as there is no “clean” and “unclean” food, there are no “clean” and “unclean” people. God calls believers to tell everyone the good news about Jesus, no matter who they are or where they come from. Jesus is the Lord of all.

We are called to defend the truth just as Paul did. God gives us power to stand up for the gospel. That’s why studying God’s Word and gathering with the church is so important. When we do those things, along with praying, we are better equipped to defend the truth against false teachers who lead people away from Jesus.

This past Sunday, Mosaic Kids learned about Paul meeting Jesus. When we understand how cruel Paul was before he met Jesus, we can see how merciful, gracious, and powerful God really is.
No one but God could cause such a big shift in a man’s life. Jesus saved Paul and chose him to spread the gospel. As you can imagine, the first believers who met with Paul were concerned. Ananias was afraid to even go see him at first! But after Paul regained his physical sight, it became clear that the Holy Spirit had come into his heart to give him spiritual sight as well. Paul was a new person, completely changed by the power of the gospel.

Jesus appeared to Paul and changed him inside and out. Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. Jesus called Paul, who was once an enemy to Christians, to spend the rest of his life telling people the gospel and leading them to trust in Jesus.
