And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
Acts 5:38,39
If God Is In It...
The question has been asked of many believers in their service for the LORD; am I doing what God would have me to do? Men have even asked me about what God would have them to do. Some questions are only reserved for the Holy Spirit to answer for us. I do know this, if God is in it, no man can stop it. The situation, or circumstances may be different for each of us, but as long as we walk with God, we will be victorious.
These men were doing what God had commissioned them to do, yet there were some there who not only disagreed with what they were doing, but how they were doing it. Listen, you will always have folks around you who do not see what you see, and if you allow them to, they will discourage you and cause you to turn around. The commission, and vision is for you. Maybe God has given you a vision for a business, or a plan to win souls, an idea to start a non-profit. After God spoke to Moses from the burning bush, Moses didn't go check with others to see if he was doing the right thing. If God is in it, then it shall prosper. If He isn't, then don't worry about it, you will learn from the failure.
When a commission is given, the responsibility of like minded believers is to get onboard so that the will of God can be done. Hear this friend, you cannot fight against the plan of God. These men tried it, but the counsel of Gamaliel prevailed. If God ordained it, and you decide to fight against it, then you make God your enemy. Listen, you cannot win against God.
