Men, Father / son weekend at the Duchovny Dom Men’s Monastery 9/25 - 9/27! Oleh and Oleksii, our iconographers from Lviv, Ukraine are coming to Olympia and St George 9/23 and will be bringing and hang up icons on canvas at the Monastery Cathedra ceiling; (12) 6’x6’ icons of Iohn the Forerunner’s Life, (12) desert fathers, ornaments and the Creed that will circle the ceiling! What an experience for you men and your sons to be a part of! Plus help the monks get ready for the Winter! The monastery expansion should be done! Bring your sleep rolls or cots and sleeping bags! Over 300 people attended the Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Shrine from August 21st - 23rd. A beautiful 8 days proceeded the 23rd at St George, OLOPH Shrine and the Outreach in Winlock which was raised to Mission of the Dormition of the Theotokos with Father Forrest Tucker being assigned there and at St Irene’s in Portland. Doctor Peter Howard’s talks on The World’s First Love - Fulton Sheen & The Virgin Mary were inspiring. In between these major events, Very Reverend Bishop Artur found time for Divine Liturgy and a hike on Mt Rainier, visit the outreach on Anderson Island, visit St Irene’s in Portland, and attended a Sea-boil/oyster dinner fundraisers with the Olympia Knights of Columbus Council. What a Blessed 8 days!

There was not only a spiritual feast this past weekend at the Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Shrine at St George in Olympia!! The food was awesome; 130 pounds of pulled pork, 200 hotdogs, 65 pounds of homemade baked beans, 144 ears of corn broke in half, 40 pounds of coleslaw, boxes of chips and sheets of brownies!!

Thank you to all the volunteers, pilgrims and clergy for a hugely successful 26th annual OLOPH Pilgrimage!

Tonight Bishop Artur joined Father Daniel and the Olympia Knights of Columbus Council with families where Bishop Artur enjoyed Shucking fresh oysters, the Seafood Boil and homemade clam chowder. What a fun evening!

The Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen will be beatified this September! Come and learn about the life and teaching of this extraordinary witness to Christ and the role of the Virgin Mary in Christian life. In 1956, Archbishop Fulton Sheen came to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Shrine in Mount Macrina, PA to celebrate for the first time an English-language Byzantine Divine Liturgy by a Latin Archbishop! 85,000 pilgrims were present for that extraordinary event.

Join author, retreat speaker, and renowned expert in the life and teaching of Archbishop Fulton Sheen, Dr. Peter Howard, STL, STD for a Pilgrimage to Our Lady's Shrine Aug 21-22 (with Divine Liturgy on the Sunday, Aug 23rd at St George's in Olympia, WA)!
