What is God calling us to become?

On Wednesday, Fr. John-Patrick DePalma gathered our Saint Michael Parish community for our State of the Parish event — No One Walks Alone — a night of prayer, vision, witness, and Eucharistic Adoration.

Rooted in our mission to Place God First in All Things, we are committed that every person shall be seen, supported, and accompanied in love — and come to a transformative encounter with Jesus Christ.

Hear from our leaders on Pastoral Care, Liturgy & Prayer, Faith Formation, School Ministry, and Facilities — along with a deeply moving witness talk and Eucharistic Benediction.

Our guiding framework this year is CARE
💛 Compassion · Accompany · Respond · Encourage

🇺🇸 Memorial Day — A Day to Remember with Reverence

There is a stillness that comes on days like this — a quiet that asks something of us. Not just a pause from our weekend, but a deeper reckoning with what has been given on our behalf.

Memorial Day is not simply a national holiday. For those with eyes of faith, it is a solemn invitation to contemplate the sacred dignity of sacrifice. Across battlefields, in distant lands, in the silence of the sea and the roar of the air — men and women surrendered the tomorrow they deserved so that others could live theirs.

Christ Himself called this the highest form of love: "No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends" (John 15:13). The fallen did not merely fulfill a duty — they imitated, however imperfectly and yet profoundly, the very love that hung upon the Cross.

St. Francis of Assisi wrote: "Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received, only what you have given: a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and courage."

Those we remember today gave exactly that — a full heart. Enriched by service. Surrendered in sacrifice.

Today, light a candle. Say a prayer. Speak their names aloud if you know them. And if you do not know them by name, know them by their gift — the freedom in which you draw breath today.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon them. 🕯️

Drop a 🙏 below to honor a fallen service member today — and feel free to share a name in the comments.

Your doubt doesn't disqualify you from the mission.

Fr. Mamba reflects on one of the most honest moments in all of Scripture — and what it means for you and me today.

In this moving moment from the homily, Father recalls a childhood day of discouragement, tears, and consolation beside his mother on a neighborhood rock. More than 50 years later, that same rock remains—steady and unmoved.

For him, that rock became an image of Christ: firm, faithful, and present in moments of sorrow. And through the tenderness of his mother, he came to recognize something of God’s own steadfast love.

A beautiful reflection for Mother’s Day, and a reminder that Christ often meets us through the people who hold us when we are weak.

Your life is not random.
You are called—
personally,
intentionally,
and lovingly by God.
The question isn’t if He’s calling…
It’s whether we’re listening.

Jesus, our muddy buddy.

He doesn’t wait for you to have it all together.

He steps into the mess.

Into the struggle.
Into the brokenness.
Into the places you feel stuck.

He lifts you up...

and walks with you.

✨ Congratulations to our 2nd grade students on receiving the Sacrament of First Holy Communion! ✨

Surrounded by the love and support of family and friends, our students received the Body of Christ for the very first time—a beautiful milestone in their faith journey.

We give thanks to God for this special celebration and pray that each child continues to grow in faith, hope, and love, always drawing closer to Him in the Eucharist.
