St. John | San Juan is honored to be named Interfaith Works Faith Community of the Year!

A letter from Meg Martin, IW’s Director of Integrative Services, said this:

“We have been so moved and grateful that St. John/San Juan Episcopal Church has stepped forward with such strong support for our regional neighbors being targeted by federal policies and fear mongering. You have provided practical support, community education and meaningful collaboration, and led with your values in such inspiring ways. Thank you for your commitment to justice and compassion and living your faith out loud!"

The award will be presented at IW’s annual Garden Party on Tuesday, June 23, at 5 p.m. at Three Magnets Brewery.

You can RSVP for the event through the link of IW’s website, www.interfaith-works.org/garden-party. Three Magnets is located at 600 Franklin St. in downtown Olympia.

Hope to see you at the celebration!

It's going to be really, really hot starting Sunday. If you need a place to cool off, here's some!

In case you missed Rev. Janet reading this during worship services today, here's a pastoral letter from Bishop Phil.

A pastoral letter is an official open letter issued by a bishop to the clergy and members of their diocese. It is designed to offer spiritual guidance, address theological issues, provide instruction on church doctrine, or give direction on current events and moral behavior (Wikipedia).

Bishop Phil LaBelle issued a pastoral letter concerning Trinity Sunday and our call to be in relationship with others particularly in light of the recent policy decision on Green Card applicants and its impact on our communities. This letter was read in congregations this morning, and is available here:
