Ms. Lily’s science time brought big excitement as the preschoolers learned all about Earthworms!
Ms. Lily showed the kids live worms, sharing interesting facts and explained how they help gardens grow.
Then, the kids got creative—using paint and rope, they crafted their own “earthworms,” each one unique and fun. Afterward, they proudly added their ropey creations to the hallway garden, nestled among painted pumpkins from last week’s art project.
Now, the little garden brims with fall colors and “earthworms” wiggling everywhere, a perfect blend of science and imagination!

This week at Gull Harbor Lutheran Preschool, the kids hopped into an exciting science adventure learning about the Life Cycle of Frogs! 🐸
From tiny eggs to wiggly tadpoles and finally to bouncy frogs, they followed each stage with wonder. Through fun activities and even some froggy crafts, the preschoolers explored how frogs grow and change, sparking their curiosity and love for nature.

At Gull Harbor Lutheran Preschool, the kids’ excitement is bubbling over for their weekly science day!

This week, they dove into the wonderful world of density, using everyday ingredients like maple syrup, water, and oil to create a colorful and fascinating experiment. Their little eyes widened as saw the liquids being poured into a clear jar and watched the magic happen – the heavy maple syrup sinking to the bottom, the water floating in the middle, and the oil forming a shiny layer on top. With giggles and gasps of wonder, the preschoolers learned that even though we can’t always see it, every liquid has its own special weight!

Science day at Gull Harbor is always a mix of fun, learning, and a little bit of sticky hands.

We are loving how our Pumpkin Scale and Exit building is coming together. This year we swapped some things around and you will now weigh your pumpkins/squash etc. and exit through what used to be our Sweet Shack. Our new Country Gift Shop and Treats is located in what used to be the farm market. Photos of that great space soon to come.
