Scripture for today: Matthew 6:25-34
“Do Not Worry”

Why are we not to worry?
Because Jesus said, “Don’t worry.” Old worry that they are too old and young worry they are too young. It is not a sin to plan for tomorrow it is a sin to worry about tomorrow.

Why do we worry?
Because we make things (Money, Food, Clothes, Health, etc.) our god. Remember God made these things and they are temporary.

What does worry do to us?
It hurts us physically and spiritually. It harmful to others and tells God, “You can’t handle this.” Don’t worry about things you can’t change or things you can change. Both take care of themselves.

Worry does not let you see God as a loving Father:
-Put God first-V.33 “Seek first the kingdom of God”
-“God knows the number of hairs on your head” (Matt. 10:29).
-God plans the events in our lives the good and the difficult. Philippians 1:6
God loves you and cares about every moment of your life.
