Hey Olney FMC children's ministry, kid's club will be meeting tomorrow at 6:00 pm. We've had a long break but we are excited to see everyone back! Social distancing guidelineswill be followed! Please bring a mask.

Hello everyone, we have some great news! Kid's club is meeting tonight from 6 to 7 pm and will be meeting every other Wednesday during the same time! Kid's Club is for children in PreK-5th grade.

Tonight we will be hosting a costume party, so children are encouraged to wear costumes and come have a fun night of worship, and pumpkin painting! Masks and social distancing will be required.

Hi everyone! Yesterday morning Mason announced that some of the Free Methodist children's ministers had been saddened by the fact that VBS did not occur in several churches this past summer and had been working on a way to bring VBS to you!

This year we happy to bring you: Anchored our 3 day VBS where we practice deepening your faith with God!

This online VBS was put together by our very own Wabash Valley Conference children's ministers and works similarly to how we did our camp boxes this summer. Parents who register their children will receive a box for each child with ALL the materials needed to participate in the activities, songs, and bible stories we will cover during these 3 days. Then, on Oct 15, parents will receive an email with Videos to play for your children to participate in said activities.

Since meeting in person is a little more limited than normal, We wanted to provide a means for the kiddos to have a VBS experience in the comfort of home.

Attention all: This upcoming Sunday, August 9, children's church will be available once again for grades Pre-K though 5th during Sunday morning Worship. We will be providing "Worship Bags" with activities, snacks and other goodies to children and will be leading a worship session specifically for the kiddos!

We are so excited to have the kids back for Children's church, but we will still need to follow social distancing guidelines. Children will be required to wear a mask during indoor activities, teachers and volunteers will have received training on helping children wear a mask, as well as enforcing social distancing practices. During outdoor activities, masks are optional.

We ask that any staff or children who have any of the following to remain home during this time:

Fever
Vomiting
Excessive coughing
Discharge in or around eyes
Green or yellow runny nose

Or otherwise feel unwell

Dear parents,

We know that this time has been interesting with having your kids at home and many of us needing to stay home. We also understand that it has been difficult for the kiddos as well. They do not get to socialize with their friends, they are beginning to miss school (never thought we would hear that) and they are beginning to miss Sunday school.

We are working on ways to help bring the church to you all as adults. Likewise, we feel it is important to try to bring the church to the kids as well, this looks different than it does for adults but thankfully many ministries have stepped up and are providing material for families to do children's ministry together.

Group Publishing is the company where we get our children's Sunday school curriculum and they have provided video lessons and activities to do with the children together as a family. Following this post will be a video they have posted to Youtube as a Sunday school lesson for the children. We encourage you to take this time to watch these with your elementary schoolers and help guide them through the lesson if they have questions. We will also be posting activities you can do together to help bring God to the kids in these trying times.
