Rebirthing Community: My experience *long post*

One of the greatest challenges of this past season has been the loss of community. When we transitioned from St. Louis to Houston, I realized that the deep relationships and sense of belonging we had cultivated over the years could not be instantly recreated. Being placed into a large and unfamiliar city, knowing only one couple, often felt like being parachuted into foreign territory.
The reality of that loss truly hit me last October at Eusebia Marriage Experience and weighed heavy on me. Felt pretty isolated and lonely 😔 I found myself praying and asking God, "How do I begin again? How do I build meaningful relationships in a place You have called us to serve?" Since God sent us here on assignment, I knew He also had a plan for connection, purpose, and community. But when?? how?? what's taking so long??
This past weekend was a refreshing answer to that prayer.
I gathered with a group of women who were on a journey of Rebirthing.
Rebirthing Experience was women embracing growth, healing, purpose, and new beginnings. Although I personally knew only one person, I experienced something my heart had been longing for: connection, meaningful conversation, and a sense of togetherness. Powerful reminder of coming to Houston and scripture Isaiah 43:19. Also, I was able to support a St.Louis native hosting her 1st women's ministry which reminded me of my marriage work with Believer's Temple and the connection with her dad being the Pastor and his recent passing.

What felt lost is beginning to be reborn. I am grateful for this new chapter and excited to intentionally immerse myself in this season of rebirthing —growing, connecting, and embracing the community God is building around me in Houston. What started as a simple gathering became a powerful reminder that God is faithful to provide the relationships, encouragement, and support we need for every assignment He gives us. Thank you Scotti, for putting your faith in action and pursuing God's purpose for your life and ministry.
