I love how Proverbs reminds us to continually think about the direction we are headed.
In Colossians chapter 3, as Paul writes to the church in Colosse, he gives some ways to know if we are truly new creatures in Christ and heading in the right direction. Our new nature is characterized by being tenderhearted, merciful, kind, humble, gentle, and patient. Your old nature, when you were of the world, was characterized by anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, dirty language, and lying.

Who has God laid on your heart to invite into a relationship with Jesus? When you hear that question, does your anxiety go up? Maybe you think things like: What if they say no? What if I can’t answer their questions? What if they think I’m weird? My challenge to you is to reframe the questions you are asking to: What if they say yes?! What if God has already been preparing their heart and is using you to point that person towards Jesus? Paul says, “How can someone believe in Jesus if they’ve never heard of him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” God may be using you to point someone to Jesus! Our job is simply to be faithful and let God do the rest.

⚠️ KidCity Update for this week:
Our 0-3 year old and PreK-Kinder classes will be open as usual. All elementary students (1st grade & up) will be hanging out with us in the main service! We can’t wait to worship together as a family. See you there!
