Last weekend I went to a funeral for a family friend. At the grave site, I had a difficult time wheeling around due to the terrain. I was there to support my friends, but I ended up needing help myself to get around. Plenty of people were willing to assist me, and I was so very grateful!
It made me think of what Jesus said in Mark 9:35,"Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all."
I was for sure surrounded by a host of servants, and I felt blessed!

I want to talk about forgiveness. You may have heard from Scripture that, as Christians, if you forgive others then God will forgive you (Matt 6:14). But today I want to talk about forgiving yourself.
We all have done something that we regret or wish we had never done. Mistakes happen, but sometimes we believe our mistakes are so bad that they are beyond forgivable. In reality we all have fallen short of perfection and need forgiveness (Rom 3:23). Our wrongdoings are no less unforgiveable than those of others.
We may finally come to the point to acknowledge that God forgives us, but how many of us fail to forgive ourselves? When we do not forgive ourselves, what we are doing is telling God that He was wrong for creating us, or that He made a mistake; that His Son Jesus did not have the power to take our sins away. Let’s get the focus off us! Let’s realize what we are doing to God when we choose to not forgive ourselves and remain in a pit. We are saying that we know better than the Great I Am. We need to understand that we are more than the mistakes we had made in our lives. In Gen. 1:27 it says that we are made in the image of God. We are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)!
Let’s stop torturing ourselves and accept that Jesus paid the price for all of our sins.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life! (John 14:6)

I have been through some difficult things in my life. Some you can see, like losing my ability to walk, or not being able to drive . And some you can't see, like feeling that I'm not worth anything because I need help me do simple thing like taking off my shoes.
I often have people come up to me and ask how I can go through these things and not be depressed or have a break down.

And the answer is PEACE. God has given me His peace that passes all understanding; the peace that through life's troubles and storms, you can still have a smile to your face.

I want to encourage you learn what peace is, and how peace feels and know that true peace can come only from God. It will help you go in the right direction in life.
