The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God.

“O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: which some professing have erred concerning the faith.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭6:20-21‬a

Science, falsely so called, is everywhere today. NPR reports “Just as the omicron surge starts to recede in parts of the U.S., scientists have their eye on another coronavirus variant spreading rapidly in parts of Asia and Europe.” Then to add some sense of panic they write “BA.2 might well be, like, 1% to 3% more transmissible, or something like that."

Something like that? Avoid the nonsense. God is sovereign and in complete control of Covid, you, and your family. Trust Him. He knows all about BA.2 and He isn’t worried. Do you have enough faith to please God?

What people really are eventually comes out. You might be fooled by someone for a season but the heart has a tendency to reveal itself.

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:45‬

I got a notice in the mail to renew my license plate sticker. Did you know the Bible has a renewal notice?

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We all need a little renewing today. Let’s ask the Lord to create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us.

The righteous saved person has a great comfort knowing God answers prayer.

“The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.” Psalms‬ ‭34:17‬

Here is one difference between the lost religious and truly saved. What do they think about the name of Jesus.

The lost religious censure the name of Jesus.
“And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.” Acts‬ ‭4:18‬

The saved know the power of Jesus’ name.
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts‬ ‭4:12

Here’s an encouraging thought. God is bigger than any problem you have. He doesn’t want you to worry about tomorrow. Live for Him today and be blessed.

“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Matthew‬ ‭6:34

Many people think they have something to do with salvation. I need to be a better person, I need to go to church, I need to give more. The Bible declares a lost sinner is DEAD spiritually.

“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;” Ephesians‬ ‭2:1‬

A dead person can’t do anything. Salvation is an act of God.

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” Ephesians‬ ‭2:4-5‬

Speaking of the most vile sinners, God declares “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Romans‬ ‭3:18‬

When someone has no fear of God, they think they can sin and get away with it. NOBODY GETS AWAY WITH IT! Sin will always be exposed.

Now, look at what happens when you fear God.

“By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16:6”

The world is full of God haters. Like the Pharisees, they plot and scheme. Is God worried about wicked mobs banding together against Him? Not at all. In fact, a day is coming when the Lord is going to laugh at them.

“He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.” Psalms‬ ‭2:4‬

“The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:13‬

What will it be like when the Lord laughs?

“And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭6:15-17‬

This year has seen great political divisions, violent social upheaval, government mandates, health pandemics, panic, shutdowns, social distancing, and more. In these times where do you put your trust?

“Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.” Jeremiah‬ ‭17:5‬

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.” Jeremiah‬ ‭17:7‬
