Working Through Grief and Loss. This Sunday we will continue our “challenging” sermon series called How Is It with Your Soul? This week we will look at the danger of not working through your grief and loss. To prepare for worship please read Matthew 5:1-16. Note Jesus’ words in verse 4, “Blessed are those who mourn.” We will unpack what this means this Sunday morning.

This Sunday we will look at the danger of not being emotionally mature and how to become emotionally mature. We will highlight several practical application exercises. To prepare for worship please read Psalm 139:23-24 and Galatians 5:22-23. Please ponder these questions before the sermon: 1. Which best describes you: I do not often feel any emotions, or I feel emotions very deeply? 2. Which emotions do you experience most often? Anger? Fear? Anxiety? Shame? Sadness? Jealousy? Happiness? Joy? Other? 3. Does one of the following emotions control your decisions/actions on a regular basis? Anger? Fear? Anxiety? Shame? Sadness? Jealousy?

Join us this Sunday at 10am as we discover the danger of not letting others, including God, see our brokenness and weaknesses. To prepare for worship please read 2 Samuel 11:1-12:13 and Psalm 51:1-19. We will observe communion at the end of the worship service. The Psalmist in Psalm 42 is very aware of the state of his soul. Are you?



Psalm 42:1-2 – “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?”

Psalm 42:5 – “Why soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”
