Our church is over 375 years old. We are a Congregational Church, United Church of Christ. Pastor Todd Yonkman, Designated Term Transitional Minister.

o Despite thousands of people who have stepped up to help, donations are still not keeping pace with hospital demand, and the situation has escalated.
o Extreme heat, poor air quality and widespread foodborne illnesses are contributing to lower donor turnout this summer.
o These blood supply challenges are being felt across the U.S. blood community.

💛 A Gentle Call for Help 💛

Our Community Cupboard is running very low, and we’re asking for a little help from our neighbors.

Located outside First Church of Christ in Saybrook on the side of the church, our Community Cupboard is open 24 hours a day for anyone who needs a little extra support. There are no requirements, no questions, and no judgment - just neighbors helping neighbors.

Right now, the shelves are nearly empty. If you’re able to pick up an extra item or two during your next grocery trip, it would make a tremendous difference for local families and individuals who rely on the cupboard.

Some of our most-needed items include:
• Canned vegetables, fruit, soup, tuna, and chicken
• Pasta, rice, cereal, oatmeal, and shelf-stable milk
• Children’s snacks
• Toiletries and paper products

No donation is too small. Every single item placed in the cupboard is an act of kindness that lets someone in our community know they are not alone.
