Albertson Memorial Church of Spiritualism (member of the National Spiritualist Association of Churches and the Connecticut State Spiritualist Association) is a growing and dynamic church. Our ministries are wide-reaching and seek to fulfill your spiritual, religious and community needs. Our members and Board of Directors have managed to create an open and loving atmosphere within the Church; one w

hich welcomes people from all faiths and denominations. Genuine Spiritualism is truly interfaith, in that its foundation stones (both religious and spiritual) are firmly implanted in the Spirit, and it is the Spirit (Divine and individual) which weaves a thread of continuity amongst all faiths. Our Church is a lovely, New England style church on the main street of Old Greenwich, Connecticut, a lovely community just a short train ride from the center of Manhattan. Old Greenwich has managed to maintain its rural, small-town atmosphere, with its shops, boutiques, toy store, barber, hardware store, fire station, and grammar school. Albertson Church is located right next to the Town Grammar School, a roughly five-minute walk from Old Greenwich train station (Metro North Line from Grand Central). Directions to Our Church: Exit 5 off I-95; go NORTH on US1/Putnam Avenue to FIRST light and turn RIGHT, onto Sound Beach Avenue; follow to small traffic circle and bear RIGHT; follow through town. Church is on the right, past the fire station and immediately after the Old Greenwich Elementary School.

The Reverend Susan Safko of our Pastoral Team will be our speaker. She is a retired corporate lawyer and served as President of a Connecticut Charity serving children and teens for many years. She has been active in the areas of Meditation and Spiritual Healing for the past 25 years and serves our Church as Chairperson of the Pastoral Team.

Through a process of structured meditations on potent spiritual phrases, students will be exposed to the internal spiritual development of Jacob’s Ladder. “The story of Jacob's Ladder is an ancient allegorical biblical tale, describing the alchemical process of reaching complete Gnosis, or what some may call Sainthood, Buddhahood or enlightenment. A symbolic ladder that we all may climb if we wish to reach the spiritual heights of the divine in the heavens while we are encased in physical matter here on earth.”
Course Instructors: Greg & Kathy Askildsen
Greg has been involved with spiritual studies for over 40 years. He is a Student of Metaphysics, Philosophy, Spiritualism, Tibetan and Zen Buddhism, the works of Austrian Scientist and Philosopher Rudolf Steiner and is a member of the Ancient Mystical Order of the Rose Cross. He was trained under an accomplished trance and trumpet medium and metaphysician Dr. Rev. William Daut.
Reverend Kathleen James Askildsen, NST has been a Spiritualist for over 40 years and serves on the Pastoral Committee at the Center for Spiritual Development in Old Greenwich, CT. She is a natural medium who has also had extensive training from international mediums Tony Stockwell, Rev. Janet Nohavec, Eileen Davies, Simon James, Brian Robertson and John Johnson at the Arthur Findlay College in England.

Reverend Linda J.M. O’Connor, NST is the President of the Board of Trustees at the Center for Spiritual Development, NSAC and serves on the Pastoral Committee. She is an Ordained Spiritualist Minister and National Spiritualist Teacher with the National Spiritualist Association of Churches. Linda has a Masters in the Science of Education and Professional Studies in Reading and Writing. She has been teaching for over twenty-five years enriching the lives of thousands of students.

Rev. Liz Hoy, NST is an educator in New York City and an ordained spiritualist minister and National Spiritualist Teacher with The National Spiritualist Association of Churches. In her capacity as minister, she serves on our pastoral team offering pastoral care to congregants. Rev. Hoy participates as minister and platform medium during divine church services and teaches mediumship classes to support the spiritual unfoldment of others. Rev. Hoy also maintains a private psychic/mediumship practice; her intention is to bring healing, understanding and forward movement to clients grappling with difficult situations: grief, family dynamics, life changes and challenging situations. She is a life-long learner who believes that everyone has the capacity to unfold their spiritual senses when they are ready to do so. To that end, she emphasizes the importance of integrity for the work, the understanding of sacredness of relationship with Spirit within the work and the development of trust in the Spiritual Intelligences that support the development of the medium.
