Do you have a child in middle school or going into middle school? Ignite is the Jr. High ministry of CCOB that meets on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30. At Ignite, Jr. Highers praise the Lord through fellowship, the study of the Word and worship!

🔥 FORGE & SOUL SISTER 💐

Today our igniters gathered for The Forge and Soul Sister, our guys’ and girls’ discipleship groups that meet regularly from spring through fall. The guys’ Forge devo focused on growing as godly men and strengthening their walk with Christ, by searching the scriptures and evidence for their beliefs, while the girls’ Soul Sister devo centered on finding their identity in Christ and encouraging one another in faith.

Through fellowship, biblical encouragement, and meaningful conversations, we pray these igniters continue growing deeper in their faith and in Christ together. We are thankful for this time of fellowship, discipleship and growth!

Good Friday—-Resurrection Sunday

The cross is where the great exchange took place.

Jesus took our sin, our punishment, our judgment…
and in return, He gives us His righteousness, His perfection, His reward, eternal life.

The cross isn’t just suffering…

It is the greatest display of God’s love, a love that will echo throughout eternity.

But the story doesn’t end there.

The Resurrection is everything.

If Jesus stayed dead, then He was either a liar or a lunatic, rightfully condemned for claiming to be God.

But if He rose…

Then everything He said is true.
Every promise is secure.
Every claim is proven.
Every word carries authority.

Because the resurrection confirms God’s love, power, and promises,

we can turn:
-fear into faith
-panic into prayer
-worry into worship

Two things to consider:
• Paul writes that over 500 people saw the risen Jesus (1 Corinthians 15) and many were willing to die for that truth.
• Christianity was not popular and heavily persecuted, yet it spread rapidly, because people were convinced Jesus truly rose.

And even beyond Scripture, there are historical accounts outside the Bible that affirm the reality of the resurrection, see Jewish, non Christian historian Josephus’s historical accounts.

He is not here… He has risen, just as He said! 🙌🏼
