As the United States nears its 250th anniversary, a notable event is set to take place in Washington, D.C. From April 18 through April 25, the full Bible—from Genesis to Revelation—will be read publicly at the Museum of the Bible!

Over the course of seven consecutive days, close to 500 participants from various parts of the country will take turns reading Scripture aloud for about 12 hours each day. The focus will be strictly on the biblical text itself, without added commentary or interpretation, simply allowing the words of Scripture to be spoken over the nation.

Organizers describe the gathering as more than just a reading event, but as an invitation toward spiritual renewal, unity among believers, and a renewed emphasis on the authority of the Bible in American life. “America Reads the Bible” will also be livestreamed at no cost on Great American Pure Flix, allowing viewers nationwide to participate in the event remotely.

~UBC update: Our church building is still closed and without electricity. The good news is that all the work is done but we have to wait for JCP&L to connect and turn back on the electric 🙏. Tomorrow is Resurrection Sunday. We will not be having service in Pastor's home. Enjoy your family time, explore another church, meet new brothers and sisters in the Faith, reflect on the day and tell someone about Jesus and what He's done for you. ✝️ (Pastor will always be available by cell if you need anything)
