St. John Paul II Academy is now enrolling for our fall 2026 Preschool sessions!
Our Montessori-inspired approach includes Level 1 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd each week. Our 3-day (MWF) and 2-day (TuTh) sessions are both mixed-aged classes with children who are at least 3 years old and toilet-trained prior to September 1st. All sessions are from 8-11 am and are limited to 12 children.

At the Academy, there is a lot of talk about our "Srodowisko," so what is it?

Srodowisko is a Polish word meaning environment and refers to a specific group of laypeople who were close friends and confidants of St. John Paul II as a young priest and chaplain. The term also signifies a supportive family of friends and advisors, where people feel loved, known, and inspired to grow. At the Academy, our Srodowisko families are an integral part of our culture. They are composed of mixed-age groups who sit together at Mass, eat lunch together weekly, host Academy celebrations, and support one another in prayer and fellowship. Each Srodowisko family is named after an image of our Blessed Mother.

A truly Catholic library focuses on the true, good, and beautiful in literature. We are blessed by Sharon Markey, our librarian, who spent countless hours curating our library. She is especially excited to share our “Saints” section - filled with original editions, out-of-print copies, and hard-to-find books. What a treasure! 📚

Mrs. Markey published “The Moral Imagination: The Heart and Soul’s Best Guide to Achieving the Goals of a Catholic Education Through the Good, True, and Beautiful in Literature” to help guide Catholic schools rediscover a truly Catholic vision for forming hearts and minds in our schools.
