i wrote this a while back…slay the dragons and giants that come against you. God is more interested in your character than He is your comfort. Rise up and be who he’s called you to be.

I have been thinking about fairy tales and happy endings, You know we so often want the fairy tale ending with out going through all the battles with evil, pride, selfishness etc. recognize the enemy and don’t blame God. Happy endings and fairy tales take bravery and faith to fight the dragons in life. Rise up and know that we are the kings and queens God has made us to be. To know that we have victory even when it looks like we don't. the King of Kings is our dad...We know the end of the story.
Live your fairy tale bravely today. Live life to the fullest, overcome with His victory in your mouth then love others well and share that love with all you come in contact with. Help someone else with their fairy tale..... and they lived happiliy ever after.... make it yours today

I am currently here in Asuit Egypt , which is about 3 hours straight South of Cairo. I finally got some down time for a few hours so here are my thoughts.
Right now my heart is full
I have lots of cool photos and videos I could share but I’ve chosen to post this picture of a shelf outside our room.
I’ve always been drawn to RuStiC old furniture that is in need of Restoration, If I had a hobby that would be it, restore furniture.
Maybe thats why I paint houses too.

Many years ago before I went into ministry, at that point I really never thought that’s something I would ever do, I had an interesting time with God. I woke up and found myself crying , I’m not a big cryer, ( my brother and sisters know why) but I pretty much cried most the night.

That night God showed me His heart for the broken. It was like he was letting me feel what he feels.

Now many years later Cindy and I find ourselves pastoring.

Restoring souls just comes with pastors call, Ps 23 says Shepards restore people’s soul ( mind , will and emotions) its part of what shepherds do.
That word restore is a shepherding term which literally was used when a sheep has fallen on its back and couldn’t get up , the shepherd would take its rod and help them get back on their feet.
Jesus our Shepherd has done just that for humanity. We fell in the garden of Eden and couldn’t save ourselves but through His Death , Burial snd Resurection has lifted mankind all the way up even to the place where he He sits at the Right Hand of God.

My wife Cindy has a bigger heart than me and we together have tried to be there for those who needed to get on their feet, many times we’ve helped others when we probably needed help worse cause of some of the things we were walking through. All pastors have done this.

I know this is long but maybe you’ve got some down time too😎.

If you lack purpose in life I encourage you to help people get back on their feet there’s lots of people out there in worse shape than you it will be very rewarding and God will heal and restore you in the process.

We had a lovely service starting with breakfast and a candle lighting service. The church blessed us with a Lovely card and gift and this beautiful quilt. They knows her pastor loves Eagles. Merry Christmas!

These days just before Christmas are always full of preparations... but are we preparing for His return?

Prepare my heart... prepare my day... prepare my life...though this road may be rough but with God the path is cleared... the way seen... the adventure assured. Many challenges appear but you show me how to overcome them. So many hurt and lost You show me how to love them. So many failures but you pick me up and heal the wounds and send me on my way having learned from my mistakes... You have prepared me for this life, as you were prepared to come to this messy earth... to prepare the way that we might follow you back to the Father... Our home is not here... we are truly just visiting... You are preparing a place for us... Are we preparing the way for your return? Preparations... through prayer...through obedience..through your Word.... through time spent at your feet... doing you plan... not mine. I love the days when Your plans and my plans are so intertwined... they are one... Prepared.
