This is so true! The youth in our church have been talking a lot about having a quiet time. Children are not too young for this time spent with God as well. Check out this article!
True or False: You need to wait until you’re an adult to have a daily quiet time with the Lord. ???..
FALSE!
I am a firm believer in instilling a love of God and His Word in my young kiddos. Every morning we start our day with breakfast and then our quiet times. Before they head into the play room the kiddos sit on the couch with their Bibles and spend 10 minutes looking through the stories. I do my quiet time before they wake up, but I sit and read my Bible during this time too - I think it’s so important for kids to see their parents reading the Bible. At the end of their individual time we read a Bible story together (from their kids Bibles or from a family devotion book we love) or listen to the Bible read on audio. I love love love this precious time! It sets the tone for our day - and I can always tell by their (and my!) attitudes when we haven’t made it a priority.
Now before you think my kids are super obedient, inherently Bible-loving kiddos, know that we didn’t just start with a quiet 10 minutes of individual Bible reading time. It took a lot of modeling and we built up our stamina. We started with 3 minutes and worked our way up. Now my kids know that “we start our mornings with Jesus” 😍😍😍

❓What about YOU? Do you have any kind of Bible-reading routine with your kiddos?
