Does your pastor have someone they can talk to without having to be **the pastor**?

Someone they can laugh with.
Be honest with.
Share their struggles with.
Someone who doesn't need a sermon, an answer, or a solution from them—just the real person behind the pulpit.

Pastors spend so much time being there for everyone else. But they need relationships where they can be cared for, encouraged, and simply be themselves.

Today, we're praying for **safe relationships for our pastors**.

May God surround them with people they can trust.
Friends who will listen without judgment.
People who will speak truth with love.
And relationships where vulnerability is met with grace, not criticism.

“ A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” – Proverbs 17:17

Lord, give our pastors safe and healthy relationships. Surround them with people who genuinely care about their hearts, will walk with them through difficult seasons, and remind them that they don't have to carry everything alone. 🙏💙

What if before we ask God to give **us** a word through our pastor, we first ask God to give **our pastor what they need to deliver it?**

Before the sermon is preached, there is preparation.
Before the Word reaches the congregation, it must first settle in the heart of the preacher.

Today, we're praying for our **pastors as they prepare to proclaim the Word of God**.

May God give them ears to hear what He is saying.
Wisdom to understand it.
Clarity to communicate it.
And grace to deliver it in a way that strengthens the weary and points people back to Him.

May their preparation be more than studying what to say—may it be time spent listening for what God wants to say.

“The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary.” – Isaiah 50:4

Lord, speak to our pastors before they speak to us. Give them a Word that is timely, true, and filled with Your wisdom. Prepare their hearts, sharpen their understanding, and give them the right words to sustain the weary. And prepare us to receive what You have placed in them to share. 🙏💙

Have you ever discovered that saying yes to everything will eventually leave you with nothing left to give?

Sometimes we say yes because we care.
Yes because we feel responsible.
Yes because we don't want to disappoint anyone.

But even Jesus recognized the need to step away from the demands of ministry and rest.

Today, we're praying for **healthy boundaries**.

May God give us wisdom to know when to say yes—and courage to say no when we need to.
Help us recognize that rest is not selfish and boundaries are not rejection.
Teach us to protect the time, energy, and relationships You've entrusted to us.

Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is step away for a moment so we can return with something left to give.

“Come with Me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” – Mark 6:31

Lord, give us wisdom to establish healthy boundaries. Help us recognize our limits, release the guilt that comes with saying no, and make room for rest and renewal. Teach us to serve from a place of strength rather than exhaustion. 🙏💙

Who takes care of the heart of the one who cares for everybody else’s heart?

Pastors spend so much time caring for the spiritual and emotional needs of others.
They listen to the hurting.
Pray for the struggling.
Encourage the discouraged.
Carry burdens that many people never see.

But who is caring for the pastor’s heart?

Today, we're praying for the **heart of our pastors**.

May God guard their hearts from discouragement, disappointment, bitterness, and exhaustion.
Protect their peace when ministry becomes heavy.
Renew their joy when serving feels difficult.
And give them safe places and trusted people where they can be honest, refreshed, and restored.

Because the heart that pours into everyone else must also be protected.

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” – Proverbs 4:23

Lord, guard the hearts of our pastors. Protect what You have placed within them. Heal the places that have been wounded, refresh the places that have grown weary, and keep their hearts tender toward You and the people You have called them to serve. 🙏💙

What happens when the one who feeds everyone else needs to be fed too?

The one who encourages others needs encouragement.
The one who prays for everyone else needs time alone with God.
The one who pours out for others needs to be poured into.

Sometimes we can become so busy giving to everyone else that we neglect the most important relationship of all—our relationship with God.

Today, we're praying for a **closer, deeper walk with God**.

May God draw us back to His presence.
Renew our hunger for His Word.
Restore our desire to pray.
And remind us that we cannot continually pour out what we are not allowing God to pour into us.

“Blessed is the one... whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on His law day and night.” – Psalm 1:1–2

Lord, draw us closer to You. Give us a renewed hunger for Your Word and a deeper desire for Your presence. Help us slow down, listen, meditate, and make You our source—not just for what we give to others, but for what our own souls need. 🙏💙
