Greater Cleaves celebrated Juneteenth Freedom on Saturday, June 06, 2026! Thank you to Vanessa Ausbie-Walley and the members of the Fundraising Committee who worked to organize and carry out the Juneteenth Freedom Festival, in spite of the forecasted rainy weather we still had persons to come out and celebrate!

We want to thank the vendors that came out with some great food.

* Bridges Community Outreach Services made some wonderful
tasting Indian Tacos!
* Mr. Leon Andrews with Back 2 Bouncing, provided the Bounce
House for the kids!

Greater Cleaves East Side Bible Camp and Vacation Bible School was Awesome! Three Days of “Going Wild for Jesus”!

This was a collaborative effort between Greater Cleaves and St Mary’s CME Church. Thank you to Sister LaQuisha Bennett and the Board of Christian Education for putting together a wonderful Vacation Bible School experience. We were all “Wild for Jesus”. Our Children had a wonderful time making hats and necklaces. They memorized the books of the bible and challenged the adults to do so as well. Our adults learned the importance of trusting God to provide what is needed to bring us to victory. And reinforced how important it is for us to remain faithful to God even in the midst of extreme pressure to turn away from those things in which we have been taught in our youth.

Main points:
Do not be Mastered by anything brought under the power of evil.

1. Jesus is God in the flesh. He takes away the sins of the world. When Jesus shows up, things change; Transformation happens.

2. Jesus shows up where people are. Shows up when & where you need him the most. Jesus sees you in the midst of your issues/crisis. Take your problems to Jesus.

3. Whatever he says to do, do it. Jesus performs miracles, He is the Power of God. Jesus saves the best for last; Bringing the good stuff, God's Best. Have life more abundantly.

*This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice & be glad in it.

Main points: We live in a changing time. Communication & values change.

1. One thing that has not changed, Jesus is still the same. 20 Disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit. Peter & John went to the temple in the name of Jesus. People praised the Lord.

2. Can't help but to tell the goodness of God. Acts 4:28 - Make us Bolder & Stronger. People still need Jesus. The mission hasn't changed. Introduce people to Jesus & the Kingdom of God.

3. Challenges produce opportunity for growth. Face Persecution, Biblical Literacy, Obsercution & Mistreatment.

4. Pray for Boldness to speak truth, the word of God. Face difficult times & people. Share the proof of the Word of God. We are serving for VICTORY.
