Sunday’s message was a reminder we needed: the presence of God isn’t something we add to an already full life. It’s where life begins.

Abide in Christ. Remain in Him. Let everything else flow from there.

We chase status. Success. Approval. The promotion. The image. The next thing we’re convinced will finally be enough.

But the things of this world were never meant to satisfy the deepest hunger of our souls.

When our appetite is for the things that have been created rather than the One who created everything, we will always be left wanting more.

Consider your ways. What are you chasing to satisfy what can only be found in God?

In Haggai 1, God’s people had been busy building their own lives while His house remained in ruins.

They weren’t doing nothing. They were working, building, providing, living. But somewhere along the way, their own lives had become the priority, while the presence of God had been neglected.

We can fill our lives with good things and still miss the very presence of God we were designed for.

May we be a people who consider our ways, reorder our priorities, and make being with God central to everything else. Because our purpose, our satisfaction, and our flourishing are found in Him.

So grateful for this reminder from Sunday. 🙌

There are Sundays you just want to hold onto for a little while. Today was one of them. 😭🙌

What a joy to gather as a church family and witness God moving in the lives of His people. From worship and the Word to celebrating 7 baptisms, we’re so thankful for all the Lord is doing here!

In Galatians 2:9, Paul describes James, Peter, and John extending “the right hand of fellowship” to Paul and Barnabas. They had different assignments, but they were united by the same gospel and the same mission.

We praise God for every Bible-believing, Christ-exalting church in our community. There are far too many people who need the hope of Jesus for us to compete over who gets to reach them.

We have a lost city and a lost world, and God is going to use His Church to reach those who need to hear the good news.

The gospel is worth standing firm for.

In Galatians 2, Paul encountered false teachers who were adding requirements to the saving grace of Jesus. But Paul refused to yield, determined that “the truth of the gospel might be preserved.” (Galatians 2:5)

On Sunday, Pastor Connor reminded us that gospel ministry will face opposition, and it will demand courage. We must be willing to stand on what is true without becoming offensive in the way we communicate it.

The message doesn’t change. The truth doesn’t change. And we can share it with both conviction and grace. 🙌

This is the gospel. This is GOOD NEWS. 🙌

We are broken, and broken people can’t fix brokenness. But God sent Jesus to restore.

Jesus lived the life we could never live, died the death we deserved, and rose again so that through faith in Him, our sins can be forgiven and we can have everlasting life with God.

That’s the gospel. That’s all it is. But that’s everything that it is.

If you have questions about what it means to trust in Jesus and follow Him, send us a message. We’d love to talk with you.

Hello church family! Thank you for joining us online today at Quail!

At QSBC, we exist to gather people together, build them up for service and send them out with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

He binds us together in fellowship;
He brings us together for worship;
He builds us up for service;
He sends us out with the Good News of Jesus.
“Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to Your Name give glory!" — Psalm 115:1

Church isn’t just a place we go. It’s a people we gather with.

There’s something sacred about showing up, worshiping together, praying together, and reminding one another who Jesus is.

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20

We’ll see you tomorrow, church. 🤍
