The 2026 Eastside Marriage Retreat, Forged In The Fire, is in the books! What an amazing time of fellowship, transparency, resilience, encouragement, challenge, laughter, love, and growth! We were blessed to have Bro. Edward Cribbs & Sis. Rosalind Cribbs from the Oakland COC (Southfield, MI) to serve as our facilitators for the weekend and what an amazing job they did!! From the workshops, to the breakouts, to the object lessons, to the couples prayers, to the derby themed party, to even worshipping together … this weekend was just was the soul need!

GLORY TO HIS NAME!

What a blessed day of worship and fellowship with our Eastside family! The singing was spirited, the prayers were passionate and transparent, and the fellowship was truly life-giving. We are always grateful for every opportunity we have to gather, worship, and spend time together.

Today, we closed out our two-part mini-series, “Winning The Game of Life,” with a powerful Word from 1 Peter 5. What a blessing it is to be reminded that after we have suffered for a while, God Himself will perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle us — all for His glory! No matter what season we find ourselves in, we can stand on the promise that God is working, God is faithful, and God will finish what He started.

What an amazing day in the Lord at Eastside today!

We enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship, worship, and encouragement as we began our two-part mini-series, "Winning the Game of Life." This morning, we considered Peter's encouragement in 1 Peter 5 and discovered the first step to winning the game of life: casting all our cares upon the Lord. What a blessing it is to know that God not only invites us to bring Him every burden, worry, and concern, but that He does so because He genuinely cares for us. There is great comfort in knowing that we are not only in His hands—we are also in His care!

We concluded the day by rallying behind our congregation's Relay For Life team in support of the American Cancer Society. Members also took time to decorate luminary bags in honor and memory of loved ones who have fought valiantly against cancer. It was a meaningful opportunity to show love, support, and hope to those impacted by this disease. We don't take for granted, the blessing that is a day filled with faith, fellowship, service, and purpose. To God be the glory!
