Lazarus Community Lifting up those experiencing homelessness through faith, community, and advocacy. Our food pantry is the last Wednesday of the month.

The Lazarus Community lifts up persons experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity through faith, community, and advocacy. We gather as a residential co-housing community, a congregation, and a network of volunteers to break bread together and serve our community. Our weekly Soul Food worship service is at 4:00 PM every Sunday at 5808 NW 23rd. We offer showers, food, clothing, bus passes, ref

errals, and other assistance from

Today Lazarus Community signed the deed to the Lazarus property over to NSO (neighborhood services organization). We are grateful that it will be continued to be used to house women and children. Thank you too, the Lazarus board and all of the many donors and supporters who have helped in this work. Bless you all.

Heartbreaking and joyous at the same time as we met our food insecure neighbors with resources from the oklahoma regional food bank. We had 26 individual households get loaded down with all the foodstuffs we could dispense. Thank you to all the volunteers in mission who have made this amazing work in community happen!

Saturday, we had our first Wesley Center work day. It was great to have and The OU Wesley come be urban missionaries. They mulched one whole yard section. Thank you!

Couple weeks ago, Lazarus Community started collecting furniture items to be refinished. Board members brought some pieces and some were scavenged out of trash piles. Our residence are working a business business model of refinishing furniture for sale as they explore launching their own micro businesses. If you have furnishings that need refinishing, please let us know.
