Our dearly beloved sister Debra Fay Mayo, a faithful member of the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, passed away on February 11, 2025 after an extended illness and years of physical infirmity. To the end, Sis Debra was cheerful and patient, kind and content. She was a light for all of us and for her family.

A memorial service will be held for Sister Debra on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the Bethlehem OKC Church at 1:30pm. Our plan is to have regular Sunday morning services, followed by lunch with the church and with Debra’s family, and then gathering in the sanctuary for the memorial. All are invited and welcome to attend.

Please continue to pray for the family and for us. God bless you all.

Good Morning!

Well, it is that time of year again! I am thankful to report that Bethlehem OKC Primitive Baptist Church WILL be having services tomorrow, Sunday January 14, 2024, LORD willing. The weather forecast is for brutal and dangerously cold temperatures and wind chill levels, but at this point it appears that the roads will be slick in spots, but not impassable as we had previously feared.

Having said that, I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE those who are older, with mobility limitations, or weakened immune systems to NOT COME in person to the services. This is a standing policy for our Church. It is just going to be so cold. Instead, I encourage those of you who stay home to watch the services online through our Zoom link. Please contact me, or one of the other elders or deacons, and we’ll send you the link. We plan to have the sermon portion of our service up and available on our website Sunday afternoon, as usual (www.pbokc.org).

As you may recall, our church house has flooded twice (!) during two separate cold snaps in recent years. We have taken every conceivable step to winterize the system, but please pray that we don’t get a third New Year’s flood. Thank you again to all of you who helped us with resources and assistance during those previous events. The LORD always provides.

May the LORD richly bless you and keep you safe and warm during this period. Our forefathers had to endure such weather with fewer creature comforts and less weather tight conditions, so please be thankful to Him for those blessings as well. Also, pray for and, as you have opportunity, help those who are suffering from the cold at this time.

Have a blessed rest of your day! Pray for us, as we do for you.

In the name of our Gracious Savior, Jesus Christ.
