Destiny Community Groups Destiny COMMUNITY GROUPS - giving you a place to CONNECT, GROW & SERVE - in community with others!

OPPORTUNITIES ARE DISTRACTIONS IF THEY'RE NOT PART OF YOUR ASSIGNMENT: The Average American spends enough time on social media and watching TV in one year to read 400 books.

The dreams of God for your life are more thrilling than any distraction that may call for your attention. We live in a society that is filled with thousands of distractions warring against our purpose.

Your "bigger yes" speaks of your greater priorities. Social media is great but how much social media are you willing to say no to so you can discover your bigger yes?

Community Groups enrich our lives and help us grow deeper in Christ together. Fruitful Christians make disciples! Find your place in one of these groups: Coming to the Table - women studying God's Word together, led by Donna Guary and Connie Hogg; Grace & Glory, led by Bill & Gwen Mead, meets on campus on Wednesdays to go deeper into what God is speaking; Koinonia - Food & Family, gathers around the table in homes for fellowship over the Word of God. God is releasing a new wineskin church into the season before us. This is a highly relational movement that is deeply devoted to pursuing Jesus together as a true expression of discipleship.

Tuesday, June 2nd, Leadership session 8am-8:30 about this topic at DestinyOKC.com.

Also - Friday, June 5th I'll be joining Steve Uppal with a panel of leaders in the UK to discuss this further as well. This is a free online event. Register today at https://allnations.org.uk/ftf

Good morning all - few things I wanted to mention to make sure everybody is aware. Sunday, May 3rd we will have services online only followed by a Destiny Family Reunion in the parking lot at 2pm. The objective is just to be able to see each other.

Community Groups are asked to promote to their groups to attempt to gather in specific places in the parking lot as the picture shows. When arriving this can be adjusted however the leaders need to adjust if there is a better place once you see cars, etc. Some may actually want to be located in the very front lot if we are unable to all get into the back lot.

Also Sunday, May 10th we will have regular services in the building. In cooperation with social distancing we have spaced out the chairs and are only able to seat 140. We are making events through Eventbrite with a cap so people can register for the service they would like to attend. If both services fill up then we will add more services accordingly every two hours. Working through the details but wanting to keep you all in the loop as we make plans.

Good evening all!

Governor Stitt has unveiled some details about reintegration as Phase 1 and this involves the process of churches coming back together.

I've uploaded a brief portion from Sunday's message explaining a few details as far as Destiny is concerned involving a Parking Lot Party coming Sunday, May 3rd. You will hear this on Sunday but I wanted you to have the information in advance.

We are working to give each Community Group Leader a section of the parking lot where you can rally families who attend your group together. Pastor Chris will get this info out to you before long. Here is a 4 minute clip talking a few details showing the new layout of the auditorium for you to see. I decided to take the video of the auditorium out of the Sunday message as I felt it added just a bit too much to process taking away from the overall focus of ministry.

Thank you for your leadership and we always want you to be ahead of the information curve whenever possible. Blessings!

“I see a plague coming on the world, and the bars, churches and government will shut down. The plague will hit New York City and shake it like it has never been shaken. The plague is going to force prayerless believers into radical prayer and into their Bibles, and repentance will be the cry from the man of God in the pulpit. And out of it will come a third Great Awakening that will sweep America and the world."

This is a prophecy from 1986 I’ll be referencing further this Tuesday morning in the leadership session I’ll be doing at 8am on DestinyOKC Facebook live.

I invited our Staff and Elders to a zoom meeting with me this morning at 7am as a sacrificial expression of being hungry for more. Very significant word in my view so I thought I’d share it with you.

We have entered into unprecedented days for the church. God is not taken off guard so we must be intentional about moving from being on our heels to being on our…

Hey all you Community Group Leaders! Declaring this word daily over us all!

Ps 112:6-8 (We) will not be overthrown by evil circumstances. God’s constant care of (us) will make a deep impression on all who see it. 7 (We will) not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen. For (we have) settled in our minds that Jehovah will take care of (us). 8 That is why (we are) not afraid but can calmly face (adversity). TLB

We are asking you for your assistance with something that will help build cohesion in your group and help share God's love through your social media avenue. If you watch Sunday morning on Facebook Live you can click "share" and then click "Start a watch party". This allows you to watch the message with your group, commenting together, etc.

These are different times we are navigating through together. Believing God for continued wisdom as we believe for God's people to be deepened during this time and for the lost to be saved! Let's share, share, share!

Blessings!

Hey all I've had a few people messaging me asking what time services will be streaming tomorrow. Would you all please take a moment to share this post from our church page announcing 9:30 and 11:30 live streaming?

People are still trying to learn the new normal for this season so let's help get the word out. Many of you won't see this until Sunday morning but please share that post from our church page whenever you do. Thank you all.

3.5 minute guide to easily set up your own zoom account and host meetings. The account is free but does limit your zoom meetings to something like 45 minutes. if the meeting ends before you are finished you can just start a new meeting.

Blessings to everybody's Saturday today!!! Jesus is still Lord! God is still on the throne! We are so blessed to have so many deep-spirited friends who love to serve the heart of Christ!

Good morning everybody! Declaring Ps 112 over you this morning!

TLB

In preparation for the online message one week from Sunday I'd like to invite questions from you as part of a Q&A segment. My intention at this time is to bring a focus of addressing the heaviness of difficult circumstances. Some of this heaviness comes from the uncertainty of the situation, some comes from the loss of a routine and some comes from God's confidence in you that you can carry the spiritual load of intercession.

I'll bring an emphasis of how God can bring something beautiful out of something painful when we allow him to do so. This will bring a focus to enrichment opportunities when we're spending so much time with our families and can spend more time in God's Word and in prayer alone and together.

All this said - will please post or email questions you may have or others may have that a few of us could speak to at the end of the message. Questions may or may not have to do with the idea I'm bringing in the message but wanted to give you context.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed but we are of those who have faith and are saved! (Heb 10:39)
