Forgiveness begins by making room for mercy.

Even in the midst of suffering, Jesus speaks words of mercy rather than revenge.

Forgiveness is rarely easy, and it is never about pretending harm did not happen. It is choosing not to let bitterness become our future.

Take one slow breath and ask God to soften whatever has become hard within you.

What if welcoming the stranger isn’t just kindness, but one of the places Jesus tells us we will find God?

“I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” — Matthew 25:35

That command runs deep through Scripture: love the stranger, remember that you have been the stranger, and make room.

That matters here in Oklahoma City.

New neighbors. New languages. People starting over.

Generosity is not simply about money. It includes our time, encouragement, hospitality, forgiveness, and attention.

When we give freely, we participate in God's work of abundance, reminding one another that love is not diminished by being shared.

Offer something generously today without expecting anything in return.

Some of life's deepest strength is found in quiet trust.

The world often tells us that strength is measured by constant activity. Isaiah offers another vision: strength that grows through trust, reflection, and faithful dependence on God.

There is wisdom in pausing before reacting and peace in remembering that not everything depends on us.

God, help me find strength in quiet trust today.

After a long, disappointing night of empty nets, Jesus speaks words of hope instead of criticism.

Failure is rarely the end of the story. God often meets us where we feel most discouraged and opens possibilities we had stopped expecting.

Jesus, renew my hope for tomorrow.

Justice begins long before it reaches a courtroom.

The Torah reminds Israel that justice is measured by how the most vulnerable are treated. Faithfulness is revealed not only in worship but in the daily choices that protect the dignity of others.

Our conversations, decisions, and actions all help shape the kind of community we become.

May you notice someone today whose voice needs to be heard.

The heart finds rest when it learns to trust instead of cling.

Jesus invites us to consider what truly holds our hearts. The things we treasure quietly shape the lives we live.

Tonight is a good time to loosen our grip on what cannot ultimately satisfy and remember what endures: love, mercy, and the presence of God.

🌈 The Gospel According to… Jim Henson

What can Kermit, Sesame Street, the Muppets, and a little bit of imagination teach us about the Gospel?

Quite a lot, actually.

Today we explored a faith shaped by wonder instead of cynicism, curiosity instead of judgment, and a community where every person, and every gift, has a place.

Jesus welcomed the child. Paul reminded us that we are one body made of many different members. And maybe Jim Henson understood something deeply sacred when he created worlds where the strange, the different, the loud, the quiet, the furry, the feathered, and the wonderfully weird all belonged together.

That sounds a lot like church to us. ❤️

Faith becomes stronger when gratitude becomes a daily practice.

The psalm repeats this refrain again and again because gratitude reshapes the heart. It reminds us that even in uncertain seasons, goodness has not disappeared.

Giving thanks does not deny life's struggles. It helps us recognize that hope still has a place among them.

Take a moment today to give thanks for one ordinary gift you might otherwise overlook.
