We appreciate this kind of denominational leadership.

The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada, along with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Indiana, have written a letter to Indiana’s Governor Mike Braun opposing the exclusionary rhetoric in the June 1, 2026, “Nuclear Family” proclamation. It states, “Our tradition teaches that God moves toward those who are excluded, not away from them. We also hold a vision of a world where every person can live fully into who they are—without shame, without fear, and without being diminished by the narrowness of others.”

Everyone is welcome should mean everyone is welcome.

Not just welcome to sit quietly.
Not just welcome to give, serve, or help.
Not just welcome until you ask to be fully seen, fully included, and fully blessed.

A welcome with conditions is not true welcome.

At New Covenant, we believe LGBTQ+ people are not an exception to God’s love. You are part of the body. You are beloved. And we thank God you’re here.

🌈 What a joyful day at OKC Pride on 39th! 🌈

New Covenant showed up with love, color, laughter, flags, hugs, and a whole lot of joy.
