New Covenant Christian Church (DOC) We welcome ALL to God's table, just as God welcomes us.

What kind of power do we believe holds the world together?

Too often, the world teaches us to mistake domination for strength, control for peace, and fear for order. But the way of God points us somewhere different.

Not toward power over others, but love with others.
Not toward exclusion, but communion.
Not toward fear having the final word, but love still moving, mending, and bringing us back together.

At New Covenant, we believe love is stronger than domination.

Happy Pride Month from New Covenant Christian Church. 🌈

This church loves you.

Not as a slogan.
Not as a marketing strategy.
Not because it is trendy.
Not only if you fit someone else’s expectations of what faith, family, gender, or love should look like.

We love you because you are made in the image of God.

We love you because your life is sacred.
We love you because your joy matters.
We love you because Jesus taught love, mercy, welcome, and courage — not exclusion.
We love you because church should be a place where LGBTQIA+ people are safe, seen, celebrated, and fully beloved.

And this Sunday, June 7 at 10:45am, we would love for you to join us for Pride Sunday at New Covenant.

We’ll have amazing music, a joyful spirit, and a message called:

“You Are Not a Debate. You Are Beloved.”

Because you are.

To those who have been wounded by religion, rejected by family, shamed by Scripture used as a weapon, or told that God’s love comes with fine print: we are sorry.

That is not the way of Jesus.

At New Covenant, you are not a debate.
You are not a problem to be solved.
You are not a guest at someone else’s table.

You are beloved.

Happy Pride Month. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

It’s a beautiful day to worship with us at 10:45am!

And if you come by today, you’ll see these beautiful doors with an even more beautiful message standing proudly in our front yard facing Rockwell:

God’s doors are open to all. ❤️🏳️‍🌈

Huge thanks to the small army of volunteers who dreamed, designed, painted, moved, and displayed these powerful symbols of welcome.

When hate is loud, our love must be louder! Love thy neighbor. No exceptions. We are so grateful for the generosity that our some of our members put into buying and displaying this banner that really says it all.

We can honor sacrifice without glorifying war. We can pray for our country without confusing the flag with the cross.

There is a difference between loving our neighbors and claiming a nation in the name of our religion.

Our Breakfast Before the Bell program was highlighted recently. This is how we church!

Every Wednesday morning during the school year, New Covenant Christian Church in Oklahoma City opens its doors to students from neighboring Putnam City North High School for “Breakfast Before the Bell.” The program provides a warm breakfast, caring adults, and a welcoming space before the school day begins.

During a recent visit, one thing stood out immediately: the students looked comfortable walking into the building, as though they truly belonged there. Volunteers greeted many of them by name, carried on conversations, and created a welcoming environment that felt natural and genuine. The students, in turn, were respectful, appreciative, and clearly grateful for the breakfast being served.

This is what ministry looks like: people showing up week after week to create a place of welcome, care, and community for their neighbors.

The ministry serves an average of 70 students each week and operates on a weekly budget of approximately $100–$150. This year, the Oklahoma Disciples Foundation Grants Program awarded $2,000 to help sustain the program through funding provided by the Children, Youth, and Young Adults Grants Endowment at ODF.

Established through the generosity of anonymous donors, that endowment provided more than $25,000 in grant funding this year alone, supporting ministries across Oklahoma. It is a reminder that legacy gifts continue to serve long after they are created, often in simple but meaningful ways.

As we observe “Leave a Legacy Month,” we give thanks for those whose generosity continues to shape lives and strengthen ministries across our communities.

Finding Faith in the Spaces Between Scripture Readings: Acts 1:6-14 | John 17:1-11 What do we do when life leaves us stranded in the "unfinished, messy middle"? In this Sunday's sermon, we explore the story of the Ascension—not as a spectacular religious magic trick that takes Jesus away, but as a...

We all know what it feels like to live in the space between what was and what’s next.

Between grief and healing. Diagnosis and treatment. Endings and new beginnings.

But for too many, that space is even heavier: between paychecks and bills, hard work and still not enough, survival and dignity.

Faith calls us to see that space clearly, and to care about what happens there.
