Sit With This

We often talk about finding our path.

But what if a spiritual path isn't something we find at all?

What if it's something we build—piece by piece, experience by experience, belief by belief—as we discover what actually resonates with us?

Do you think your spiritual path was something you discovered, something you chose, or something you created?

🌗 Last Quarter Moon

A Time to Release

The Last Quarter Moon marks the final major phase of the waning Moon. Half of the Moon is illuminated, but the visible portion is decreasing as the Moon moves toward the New Moon.

✨ Ways to work with this moon:
• Release habits, thoughts, or situations that no longer serve you
• Cleanse your home and sacred space
• Finish unfinished tasks
• Reflect on what you've learned during this lunar cycle
• Practice banishing or cord-cutting according to your tradition
• Rest and conserve your energy
• Prepare yourself for a new beginning

🌗 About the phase: The Last Quarter is traditionally associated with completion and transition. As the visible Moon continues to diminish, many magical traditions use this period for clearing, releasing, banishing, and preparing for renewal.

Lunar phases are astronomical events. Magical associations and suggested practices reflect traditional and contemporary spiritual practices and are not scientific claims.

Myth & Meaning

The gods and goddesses we work with don't always fit neatly into modern categories.

A deity can be associated with several seemingly contradictory things at once.

Persephone, for example, can be connected with spring, growth, the underworld, death, rebirth, transformation, and the transition between worlds.

Rather than seeing these aspects as contradictions, they can be understood as different parts of a larger story—one centered around cycles, change, and transformation.

That complexity is part of what makes ancient traditions so interesting.

Do you think we lose something when we try to reduce a deity to a single role or correspondence? Why or why not?

đź’Ž Crystal of the Week: Selenite

Named after Selene, the Greek goddess of the Moon, selenite is a translucent form of gypsum known for its soft, luminous appearance.

In modern spiritual and magical practice, selenite is commonly associated with clarity, cleansing, peace, intuition, and spiritual connection. It is often incorporated into meditation, altar spaces, and practices centered around creating a calm or intentional environment.

✨ Magical associations:
Clarity • Cleansing • Peace • Intuition • Spiritual Connection

Selenite is also a good reminder that not every spiritual tool has to be used for a complicated working.

Sometimes an object simply helps us create a space where we can slow down, become present, and pay attention.

What helps you create that kind of space in your own spiritual practice?
