This week, my wife and I had the incredible privilege of traveling to Prague, Czech Republic, with Bro. Jon and Mrs. Emilie Rettig.

Before coming on staff at Beth Haven Baptist Church, the Rettigs faithfully served as missionaries in the Czech Republic for 30 years. During that time, they invested their lives in reaching people with the Gospel, discipling believers, and training leaders for ministry.

One of the highlights of our trip was witnessing the ordination of David Kouřil, a man whom the Rettigs led to Christ, discipled, and trained for ministry. Brother David has now been called as pastor of Sbor Baptistů in Prague.

What a testimony of God's faithfulness! To see a gospel-preaching, gospel-propagating church led by a national pastor in a country that is so greatly in need of the Gospel is a direct result of decades of faithful service and sacrifice.

We are thankful for Bro. Jon and Mrs. Emilie Rettig and the lasting impact they have made for Christ in the Czech Republic.

Please join us in praying for Pastor David Kouřil and the congregation of Sbor Baptistů as they continue the work of reaching Prague and beyond with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
