Sacrificial Giving
I want to say thank you to the many Volunteers at Sacred Heart Parish who give of their time each week at the parish. Giving of our time, our talents and our treasure is part of being a servant of God. Jesus teaches us a good lesson on giving in the Gospels. In one of His lessons, he points out a woman who comes to the temple treasury to give her offering to God. She gives a very small amount, but Jesus says, “she gives all that she has”. She is making a sacrificial offering to God. This is a great act of trust.
At Sacred Heart Parish, we have many financial needs. In recent weeks, we have had many maintenance costs. This is an ongoing reality of our parish. This is true of all Catholic Churches. We need to be able to maintain our buildings, our churches, our schools and all that God has given us. That means we need your generosity. We have many talented people. We have many ideas on how to serve. What I am asking is that you consider giving more to the weekly and monthly Sunday collection. Giving more on Sunday means taking good care of the Parish all year. Please Consider an Increase in Weekly and Monthly Giving of 20-30 dollars. If each family gave 20-30 dollars more a month to the collection, we would see a significant increase to our collections and the ability to fix, restore, and care for our beautiful Sacred Heart Parish. Join me in making this Sacrificial Gift.

Ofrenda con un Sacrificio generoso
Quiero expresar mi agradecimiento a los numerosos voluntarios de la parroquia del Sagrado Corazón que dedican su tiempo cada semana a la parroquia. Ofrecer nuestro tiempo, nuestros talentos y nuestros bienes materiales forma parte de nuestra vocación como servidores de Dios. Jesús nos enseña una gran lección sobre la generosidad en los Evangelios. En una de sus enseñanzas, destaca a una mujer que acude al tesoro del templo para entregar su ofrenda a Dios. Ella aporta una cantidad muy pequeña, pero Jesús dice: "ella da todo lo que tiene". Está realizando una ofrenda sacrificial a Dios. Es un gran acto de confianza.
En la parroquia del Sagrado Corazón tenemos muchas necesidades económicas. En las últimas semanas, hemos afrontado numerosos gastos de mantenimiento. Esta es una realidad constante en nuestra parroquia, al igual que en todas las iglesias católicas. Necesitamos mantener nuestros edificios, iglesias, escuelas y todo lo que Dios nos ha confiado. Para ello, contamos con su generosidad. Tenemos personas con gran talento y muchas ideas sobre cómo servir. Les pido que consideren aumentar su contribución a la colecta dominical, ya sea semanal o mensual. Aportar más los domingos significa cuidar bien de la parroquia durante todo el año. Por favor, consideren incrementar su donativo semanal o mensual entre 20 y 30 dólares. Si cada familia aportara entre 20 y 30 dólares adicionales al mes a la colecta, veríamos un aumento significativo en nuestros fondos, lo que nos permitiría reparar, restaurar y cuidar nuestra hermosa parroquia del Sagrado Corazón. Únanse a mí para realizar esta ofrenda de sacrificio generoso.
