TONIGHT, Wednesday, JUNE 10- we continue our Bible Study series from Romans 12 with this powerful truth: TRUST GOD’S HEART "that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2b, KJV

God’s will is not a trap.
God’s will is not a punishment.
God’s will is good because God is good.
Come learn how to trust God’s character when you cannot see the whole road.

Good Morning, Friend! It’s Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Could you use a little more light for the middle of the week? God’s Word still shines bright enough to guide your next step.

PASSAGE

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalm 119:130, KJV

God’s Word brings light where life feels cloudy and gives wisdom when we need help knowing what to do.

PRINCIPLE

The middle of the week can bring tired minds, busy schedules, and plenty of decisions. But we are not left to stumble through the day. When God’s Word enters our heart, it brings light. It helps us see clearly, think rightly, and walk wisely.

PRACTICE

Before noon today, take five quiet minutes and read Psalm 119:130 out loud. Ask the Lord, “Please give me light for my next step.” Then choose one decision today and let the Bible guide how you answer, act, speak, or respond. Tonight, come ready to receive more light from God’s Word in Bible Study.

PASSAGE CONTEXT

Psalm 119 is the great Bible chapter about loving, trusting, and obeying the Word of God. This verse reminds us that God’s Word does not leave us in the dark. It gives light for the path and understanding for the heart.

Now go have a great day!

Pastor Deverick

Good Morning, Friend! It’s Tuesday, June 9, 2023. Who can meet the deepest need of your heart today? Jesus is the Lamb of God, and He is enough for every need we will ever face.

PASSAGE

“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:29, KJV

Jesus came as the Lamb of God to take away sin, and He is able to meet our greatest need.

PRINCIPLE

Our greatest need is not money, comfort, strength, answers, or an easier day. Our greatest need is Jesus. He is the Lamb of God. He gave Himself for us. He paid for our sin. He made salvation possible. If He has met our greatest need, we can trust Him with every other need today.

PRACTICE

Before noon today, take one need to the Lord in prayer and say, “Lord, I trust You with this.” Then thank Him for saving you, helping you, guiding you, and providing for you. Today, look for one person who needs encouragement and tell them that Jesus is enough.

PASSAGE CONTEXT

In John 1, John the Baptist pointed people to Jesus. He did not point them to himself. He said, “Behold the Lamb of God.” That means Jesus is the One sinners need. He is the Saviour. He is the sacrifice. He is the answer for the need of every heart.

Now go have a great day!

Pastor Deverick

Good Morning, Friend! It’s Monday, June 8, 2026. Is Jesus just part of your day, or is He the center of your life? Today, let everything start with Him, stay with Him, and be done through Him.

PASSAGE

“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” Colossians 1:18, KJV

Jesus is not to have a small place in our life. He is to have first place in everything.

PRINCIPLE

Jesus should not be something we add to our day after we have already made our plans. He is to be the center of our life. Our thoughts, choices, words, work, family, schedule, and service should all begin with Him. When Jesus has first place, the rest of life gets put in the right place.

PRACTICE

Before you get deep into this Monday, stop and pray, “Lord Jesus, have first place in me today.” Look at your schedule and choose one thing you need to do through Him, not just for yourself. Before noon, ask, “Does this choice please the Lord?” Before tonight, thank Him for one way He guided your heart today.

PASSAGE CONTEXT

Colossians 1 lifts up the Lord Jesus Christ. It shows us that He is Creator, Sustainer, Saviour, Head of the church, and the One who should have first place in all things. God gave to Paul the words to write to believers to see that Jesus is not just important. Jesus is everything.

Good Morning, Friend! It’s Sunday, June 7, 2026. Are you ready to rejoice in the Lord today? Come to church prepared, expecting God to speak to your heart through His Word.

PASSAGE

“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4, KJV

Our joy is not built on the day being easy. Our joy is built on the Lord being good.

PRINCIPLE

Sunday is a wonderful day to gather with God’s people and rejoice in the Lord. We do not come just to fill a seat. We come with open hearts. We come hungry for the Word of God. We come expecting the Lord to help us, guide us, correct us, strengthen us, and encourage us.

PRACTICE

Before you leave for church today, take five quiet minutes and ask the Lord to prepare your heart. Bring your Bible. Pray for the preaching. Pray for your family. Pray for someone who needs encouragement. When you walk through the doors, come ready to sing, listen, respond, and rejoice in the Lord.

PASSAGE CONTEXT

Philippians 4 was written by Paul while he was teaching believers to stand fast, rejoice, pray, and keep their minds on right things. His joy was not based on perfect circumstances. His joy was in the Lord. That is the kind of joy we need today.

Now go have a great day!

10:45 SERVICE - What if the strongest discipleship moment in your home this week only took 10 minutes?

This Sunday morning at Victory Baptist Church of Yukon, we continue our Beyond Sunday series with a special June focus on the Home and the Family God designed.

BUILD THE HOME
Deuteronomy 6:4–9

God’s Word says:

“And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way,and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.” — Deuteronomy 6:7, KJV

Discipleship is not only taught in a church building.
It is lived in the home.

This message will help young couples, parents, grandparents, and every household see how to bring God’s Word into real life:

the table,
the schedule,
the phone habits,
the marriage,
the children,
the bedtime routine,
and the everyday moments.

This week’s simple challenge:

Take 10 minutes at home.
Read one Bible verse.
Say one thing it means.
Pray for one need.
Name one step of obedience.

A home is not built all at once.
It is built one faithful moment at a time.

Join us this Sunday morning at 10:45 AM.

82 years ago today, the sons of America crossed an ocean and stormed into the face of evil. As we celebrate 250 years of this great nation, their sacrifice is one of the most important stories that we must never forget – a generation that bravely defended the very freedoms we hold so dearly today. We will never forget their courage and their willingness to give everything. We are a grateful and forever indebted nation.

Thank a Veteran today for His service and let's pray for the families of those who gave and still give for our freedom.

Good Morning, Friend! It’s Saturday, June 6, 2026. Where is real victory found when sin has bound a soul? Victory is in Jesus, and the freedom He gives through salvation is worth telling somebody about today.

PASSAGE

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36, KJV

Jesus is the only One who can truly set a soul free from sin.

PRINCIPLE

Real freedom is not found in doing whatever we want. Real freedom is found in Jesus Christ. He went to the cross, paid for our sin, rose again, and made salvation available to every person who will trust Him. That is victory. That is freedom. That is news too good to keep quiet.

PRACTICE

Today, tell one person what Jesus has done for you. Send a text, make a call, hand someone a tract, or invite someone to church. Better yet, set a time and go on purpose. Join us for Saturday Soul Winning at 10:00 AM. A scheduled time helps turn a good burden into a faithful action.

PASSAGE CONTEXT

In John 8, Jesus was speaking about truth, sin, and real freedom. He made it clear that sin brings bo***ge, but the Son brings true freedom. That freedom is not just better living. It is salvation through Him.

Now go have a great day!

Good Morning, Friend! It’s Friday, June 5, 2026. What can you hold on to when life keeps changing around you? Build your life on the never-changing God who loves you, guides you, and gives good gifts from above.

PASSAGE

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James 1:17, KJV

God does not shift, change, or turn away from His people. He is always good, always faithful, and always right.

PRINCIPLE

Life changes. Plans change. Seasons change. People change. But our God never changes. That means our foundation should not be built on feelings, fear, money, comfort, or control. Our foundation should be built on the Lord. He loves us, He guides us, and He always knows what is best.

PRACTICE

Before noon today, take one decision you are facing and pray, “Lord, I want Thy will more than my way.” Write down one area where life feels different right now, and then write beside it, “God has not changed.” Before this Friday ends, thank the Lord for one good gift He has already given you this week.

PASSAGE CONTEXT

James 1 reminds believers that trials will come, wisdom is needed, and God gives good gifts to His people. In a changing world, James points us back to the Father of lights. There is no changing shadow in Him. He is steady, faithful, and good.

AFTERGLOW FROM LAST NIGHT'S BIBLE STUDY- Every choice is taking us somewhere. The question is: who is holding the map?

Last night in Wednesday Night Bible Study, we continued the message:

GOD’S WILL WORKS
Romans 12:1–2

The first truth was simple but strong:

I. TEST THE CHOICE

“that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2b, KJV

God does not want His children guessing their way through life. He wants us testing our choices by His Word.

Before we ask, “Can I do this?”
We need to ask, “Should I do this?”
Before we follow our feelings, fears, friends, or flesh, we need to ask, “What does God’s Word say?”

That matters because every decision is a seed.
Some choices grow peace.
Some choices grow regret.
Some choices pull us closer to God.
Some choices slowly pull us away.

The renewed mind learns to stop and test the road before walking it.

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” 1 Thessalonians 5:21, KJV

Here is the practical step:

Before making one decision this week, stop for five minutes and ask:

What does the Bible say?
Will this help me obey Jesus?
Will this pull me closer to God or farther away?

A choice that cannot pass the Bible test does not belong in a believer’s life.

If God’s Word checks it, do not chase it.
If God’s Word clears it, walk in it.

That is how we begin to prove God’s will in daily life.
