31 years ago today, Oklahoma City and our entire country were changed forever.

On April 19, 1995, 168 lives were taken in the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Families were shattered, futures were stolen, and a community was left to carry a grief that still lingers today.

At our cemetery, we are entrusted with the care of some of those who were lost. They are not just names in history. They are part of our daily work, our prayers, and our responsibility to remember.

We honor not only those who died, but also the countless individuals who responded with courage and compassion in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Today, we remember.
We mourn.
And we recommit ourselves to treating one another with dignity, compassion, and respect so that hatred never has the final word.

Today, we celebrate Easter and the promise that death is not the end. He is risen.

In a place like ours, that message carries a deeper weight. Every name, every stone, every family we serve is part of a story that does not end here. The Resurrection reminds us that love endures, that grief is not without hope, and that even in loss, there is the promise of new life.

For those who are celebrating their first Easter without someone they love, we hold you especially close in our thoughts today. Grief has a way of making even the most joyful days feel heavy. But know you are not alone.

As families visit, place flowers, and remember those they love, we are honored to care for this sacred ground. This is where memory, faith, and hope meet.

From all of us at Resurrection Cemetery, we wish you a blessed and peaceful Easter.

He is Risen!

From all of us at Resurrection please take care this Easter weekend.

A Quick Reminder on Flowers

As part of our decoration policy, flowers placed in permanent bronze vases are not removed by our staff unless they interfere with maintenance or operations.

With the storms last night and continued strong winds today, flowers can sometimes become dislodged and blow out of the vases. When staff find loose flowers and can determine where they belong, we are happy to return them. If we cannot identify their original location, they unfortunately must be discarded.

Thank you for your understanding.

Lawn Care Update

You may notice our grounds crew out treating the lawns this week as part of our regular maintenance to keep the cemetery grounds healthy and well cared for.

The product being applied has a yellow color, which may occasionally appear on nearby markers during the process. While it can look a little concerning at first glance, please rest assured that the treatment is non-corrosive and completely water-soluble. The color will naturally wash away with the next rain.

Thank you for your patience as we continue working to keep the cemetery grounds beautiful for all who come to visit and remember their loved ones.

On Thursday, routine road maintenance will take place in the eastern portion of the cemetery, weather permitting. You may experience minor delays or temporary access adjustments in that area. We appreciate your patience and understanding if you plan to visit.

Dear Families,

We hope you are doing well. We wanted to share a gentle reminder that beginning Monday, February 2, 2026, we will start the seasonal cleaning of gravesites, including the removal of holiday decorations, as we prepare the grounds for the upcoming spring season.

If you wish to keep any items, you are welcome to collect them prior to that date. Please know that if you have any questions, concerns, or if there is anything we can do to help, we are always here and happy to assist.

Thank you for your understanding and for allowing us to care for this special place.

With warm regards,
Resurrection Cemetery

Merry Christmas from all of us at Resurrection Cemetery.

Christ the Savior is born!

Every holiday carries a different meaning for each of us. While we sincerely hope your Christmas is filled with peace and joy, we especially want to extend our prayers and love to those who are celebrating their first Christmas without a loved one.

The loss of a mother or father, son or daughter, family member or friend cannot be understated or diminished. Please know that you are remembered, and that you are not alone.

May you find comfort in the love of Jesus Christ this day, and may the Lord bless you and keep you, now and always.

Blessed Stanley, Pray for Us.

A Happy Thanksgiving to you all, and may you and yours be safe this holiday weekend.
Resurrection Cemetery will be closed for the remainder of the week and will reopen on Monday, December 1st.

We certainly hope you have a joyful Thanksgiving, but we are deeply aware that for many, this may be the first holiday without a loved one. Our prayers remain with you as you continue to walk the path of grief and healing.

Hold close those around you today, as on all days.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
