31 years ago today, Oklahoma City and our entire country were changed forever.
On April 19, 1995, 168 lives were taken in the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Families were shattered, futures were stolen, and a community was left to carry a grief that still lingers today.
At our cemetery, we are entrusted with the care of some of those who were lost. They are not just names in history. They are part of our daily work, our prayers, and our responsibility to remember.
We honor not only those who died, but also the countless individuals who responded with courage and compassion in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
Today, we remember.
We mourn.
And we recommit ourselves to treating one another with dignity, compassion, and respect so that hatred never has the final word.
