The Muscogee Nation is partnering with the Chickasaw Nation, the Cherokee Nation, Hunger Free Oklahoma, and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to introduce the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program for Children (Summer EBT) to the Muscogee Nation Reservation.
Summer EBT provides additional nutritional support to eligible Native and Non-Native school-aged children during the summer months when they do not have access to school meals. Around 105,000 children are eligible to receive a food package valued at $120 during the summer in Creek, Hughes, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, McIntosh, Muscogee, Tulsa, and Wagoner counties.
Most schools located on the Muscogee Reservation have submitted student data for households to receive a pre-authorized Summer EBT Card. However, if your student lives on the Muscogee Reservation, attends a school that did not participate in data sharing and they meet eligibility requirements, they can still apply for the Summer EBT Program.
