As I'm reading and studying in 1 Kings, I see how wise and blessed King Solomon was, God truly poured out on Solomon in every way, riches, land, peace from enemies, and wisdom to rule over it all and over the children of Isreal. One thing most people forget to mention is all the wisdom in the world is no good if you hang around bad company. In 1 Corinthians 15:33 the Word tells us bad company corrupts good character and that is so true. King Solomon loved the ladies and a lot of ladies of whom God told him not to marry any from those groups of people whom didnt believein God, yet Solomon didn't heed the warning. God knew those women would corrupt Solomon. A little leaven leaventh the whole loaf it says in Galations 5:9, meaning sin, as the ungodly women had would spill over and affect King Solomon. Which it did! In 1 King 11:4 we see that Solomons heart was turned towards other Gods which His wives served which made God angry with him. God had specifically told Solomon to follow no other God and Solomon willing did. God said I will tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant. Brothers and sister, be careful whom you surround yourself with, be careful of what you watch and what music you listen to, for it will corrupt you. I dont watch TV unless its preaching or Christ centered movies every now and then, I only listen to praise and worship music because what we put in is what will come out. Follow no other Gods, not horoscopes, Chakra, not numerology, drugs, money, fame, all of which can be idols before the one true living God. Just be careful in all our ways as we are called to be set apart from this world not following it, or we might follow it straight to he'll.
