Olive Branch Lutheran Church is a historic congregation in Okawville, Illinois. Established in 1865, Olive Branch is a deeply rooted Word and Sacrament community founded upon the biblical truths taught in Holy Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions. Reflecting Olive Branch's commitment to the teachings of Luther and the Reformation, the old sign above the entrance of the church reads in German, "G

od's Word and Luther's teaching, only this and nothing more." In the present, Olive Branch continues to confess the timeless truths of Scripture and apply them to modern life. We seek to serve those in the community of Okawville and around the world empowered by the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.

COMFIRMATION 2026-27

We will have an informational meeting on June 20 @ 6pm (right before church) at St Salvator in Venedy to discuss this coming year. This will be a combined class for St Salvator and Olive Branch.

We will go over materials needed, class structure, expectations, and talk about what day and time to have class.

Confirmation is for students in the 7th grade and above. If you have a student who will be attending and you have not let Pastor Jim know yet, please contact him as soon as possible.

If you cannot make the meeting please let Pastor Jim know at [email protected] and he will send you the information after the meeting.
