Grace Coastal Church

Grace Coastal Church “No one is so good they are beyond the need of the gospel, and no one is so bad they are beyond th By merciful love Jesus brings us into God's family.

At Grace Coastal Church (pca), we have a very simple purpose: to embrace and embody the Gospel both in the Church and among all the people of the greater Bluffton community with the hope and prayer of seeing the grace, faith and justice of Christ's Kingdom come to our city. We desire that people in our Church know and experience three things through a committed relationship with the God that made

them and redeems their life: • Gathering to worship and serve our Redeemer • Growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord, Jesus Christ as an individual and a member of our community of believers • Giving our time, talent and treasure to the glory of the King of Kings

Our Beliefs

What is the gospel? In the person of Jesus, God emptied himself of his glory and wealth and became human. Through the life and death of Jesus, God substituted himself for us—he died a sinners death and by my repentance and faith we receive life as sons and daughters. We respond in worship as a church and servants in our community. At the return of Jesus, God will restore creation and make a new world in which we can freely enjoy our new life together with him forever. We believe the gospel as taught in the whole Bible. Our Core Values
Grace Coastal seeks to glorify and serve our Lord. Our core values that drive our distinctive expression of the gospel include:

- The great commandment to "love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our soul and all our might" and to
"love our neighbor as ourselves"
- The commitment to personal as well as public ministry of the word.
- Relationship based ministry over program driven ministry
- Commitment to local outreach as well as world outreach
- The verbal as well as the literal expression of God's grace through the work of Jesus Christ in our
relationships in the church, community and the world.

GCC Praise Corner:
Music truly is a blessing from the Lord, and we have an exciting praise to share from Debbie Hamner, our GCC Clarinet player. Debbie leads the May River High School Band, and, recently,
the band received an Outstanding Performance Award! This award is a culmination of everything the band does throughout the year, including marching band, concert band, region band, auditions, solo and ensemble. The band receives points at each event based on how well they do. May River High Band is the only band in Beaufort County that has received this award. The band has won this award 3 times, including receiving the award 2 years in a row. The band works super hard for this award all year, so we just want to give thanks for all the students and recognize this amazing achievement.

We give thanks for all the women God has blessed us with here at GCC. We invite all women to celebrate Mother's Day with us by taking a rose this Sunday, May 10th. Celebrate your own mother, being a mother or being a motherly presence in a life you have helped to shape.
