On Maundy Thursday, we celebrate the Last Supper. We often read from these particular verses in church when we have Communion together.
Every time we eat the bread/cracker and drink grape juice in church, we take time to remember Jesus.
We usually remember this particular meal He shared with His disciples and how the bread represents His body broken for us and the juice represents His blood poured out for us.
We remember our need for a savior and how Jesus died on the cross.
My challenge to you, today on this Maundy Thursday is to pause before every meal and remember God who has created and given us so much, God who sent Jesus as our Redeemer when we betrayed God, and the Holy Spirit who helps us to live as Jesus called us to live.
Every time you eat.... Any food
And drink... Any drink
Do so in remembrance of Jesus.
Church family we are so thankful for you! Community, we are thankful for you! God has blessed us with the ability to work together to shine God's light in this world.
Let us do all that we do in remembrance of Jesus.
