🤝 “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.” – Ecclesiastes 4:9. Life was never meant to be lived alone. This verse reminds us of the strength, encouragement, and blessing found in friendship and partnership. God often works through the people He places beside us.

As you step into a new week, be alert to "the things" that are not from the teachings of Christ. If it is not kind, tolerant, welcoming, or loving, to only name a few, it is not likey from the teachings of Christ.

The enemy is becoming more obvious, but our generation is becoming more desensitized.

Not everything that looks normal is harmless.
Not everything that is celebrated is righteous.
Not every voice deserves to be followed.

The enemy doesn’t always come looking evil. Sometimes he comes looking acceptable, entertaining, progressive, or harmless.

Stay awake. Test everything against God’s Word. Discern the spirit behind what the world is normalizing.

Because the greatest danger isn’t always Satan hiding.

Sometimes, it’s people becoming so comfortable with darkness that they stop recognizing it. 🙏🏻

Throughout the summer, many in our church family have enjoyed camping as a way to worship God in the beauty of nature, deepen fellowship with friends, and welcome new friendships along the way. The camping theme has also been at the heart of our time together in church over the past few weeks, giving us the opportunity to reminisce and sing campfire song favorites. Today's gathering after church brought that theme to life with a campfire, Smores, and music, as Dan brought his guitar and led us in singing around the fire.

As we get ready for back to school and if you are a teacher, carry these words with you...

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄.

For every teacher carrying boxes into a classroom (and a little more on your heart than anyone can see). ❤️

Right now, the desks may still be empty. The supplies are waiting. The names on your class list may belong to children you haven’t met yet.

But soon, those seats will be filled with stories.

One child will walk into your room excited and ready.

Another will be nervous but trying not to show it.

One may test your patience because they don’t yet know how to ask for the attention or reassurance they need.

And another may wonder whether anyone will notice them at all.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹.

You are preparing more than lessons, bulletin boards, and first-day activities. You are preparing a place where a child might discover that they are capable.

A place where they might feel safe enough to ask a question.

A place where they might hear, “I knew you could do it,” and begin to believe it for themselves.

Some of the most important things you do this year will never appear on a test score or performance review.

It may be the way you say a child’s name with kindness.

The extra moment you spend beside a desk when someone is struggling.

The patience you offer on a day when a student has very little patience left to give.

The encouragement a child carries home and remembers years from now.

Scripture reminds us:

“If your gift is teaching, then teach.”
— Romans 12:7

“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
— Proverbs 11:25

As you begin this school year, may God give you wisdom for every decision, patience for every difficult moment, and strength for the days that ask more of you than you expected.

May He help you see the child behind the behavior, the effort behind the mistake, and the possibility inside every student who enters your classroom.

You are about to make a difference in the lives of children.

You may not always see it happening.

But God does. ❤️

As you step into a new week, trust in the power and God's authority only.

Not every struggle is what it seems.

In Ephesians 6:12–13, Paul reminds us that our battles aren’t against people, but against spiritual forces, and calls us to put on the full armor of God so we can stand firm when challenges come.

Clarity: A w**d is simply “a plant growing where humans don’t want it.” Weeds are often dismissed — yet each is beautiful, purposeful, and essential to the ecosystem. A reminder that “unwanted” is not the same as “without value.”

What does this means for us as disciples of Jesus Christ? What does this reveal about the ways the church sometimes labels people, ministries, or movements as unwanted — not because God rejects them, but because we do?

“But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
