📚 Faith Formation Teachers Needed! 📚

Friends, look at what God has done! What started with a few devoted moms and our "littles," has grown into a thriving youth ministry — YFF, Vacation Bible School, and our Jr/Sr High LIFT (Learning in Faith Together) class. 💛

And now our littles aren't so little anymore! We're growing again, and we need teachers to help show our kids why Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

No experience required — just a willing heart. It's all hands on deck! 🙌

🎶 Sanctuary Soundbath — Tomorrow Night! 🎶

☔ The rain didn't stop us! ☔

The skies opened up over Ogden this morning, but Praise in the Park just became Praise in the Courtyard — and let me tell you, our Praise Band sounded even better with a little rhythm section from heaven. 🎶

As Pastor Heidi reminded us, even the rain is praising God — every drop doing exactly what it was made to do. So we let the rain join the choir. 🎶

Our kids kicked off the Fall Faith Formation season in style — literally kicking footballs through a goal post made of two of our very own church guys holding up the uprights. 🏈 Perfect aim, great sportsmanship, no injuries to report. 😄

The heart of this morning's message was a simple invitation: God isn't asking us to stand off to the side and admire the dance. God is asking us to join in — with our voices and with our hands. To praise God out loud, and then to live that praise in how we care for one another and this good creation. Don't just listen from the edge. Join in.

We also took a moment to mourn together — tough weekend for our Iowa State Cyclones. 😢 And Pastor Heidi mourned her Ohio State Buckeyes too... pretty much by herself, as usual. 🌰 (We love you anyway, Pastor.)

Rain or shine, we praise. Thank you, everyone, for your flexibility with the weather and for joining in. That's exactly what church looks like. 💚💛

Tune Up Tuesdays are back — beginning September 15 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtyard.

Carol and Leanne will lead light yoga, gentle stretching, and a peaceful devotional time — a chance to loosen the body and settle the spirit before the week carries you off.

No experience needed. Every level welcome. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or you haven't touched your toes since grade school, there's a spot for you on the mat. 💚

Bring a bottle of water and a mat if you've got one (no worries if you don't). Then come once or come weekly — it's a standing invitation to rest, stretch, and breathe together.

Tap Interested, and bring a friend who could use a peaceful start to the week.

This week's message, "The Whole of Discipleship," dug into Matthew 18:15-22 and Jesus' surprisingly practical guide to what we do when conflict finds us — because it will. Spoiler: it's less about winning and more about listening, staying curious, and choosing to show up again and again.

Here's a taste of where it landed:

"Jesus is telling us that what we do here — in this room, in these walls, in this community, in this friendship, at this kitchen table — resonates in the very heart of God. There's a deeper physics running underneath creation, and it runs on love and humility and generosity, not on who's right. When we choose curiosity over certainty, when we choose to listen instead of to win, we're not just keeping the peace in the fellowship hall. We're participating in God's own reconciling work."

Hey Ogden!

🏈 You're invited — no strings, no potluck dish required! 🌳

Have you ever driven past a church and wondered what it's actually like inside? This September, there's no "inside" to wonder about — we're taking worship outside to the park, and we'd love for you to come exactly as you are.

Join us for Praise in the Park on Sunday, September 13th at 10:00 AM at Ogden City Park — a tailgate-themed morning of music, games, and good company. 🎶

If you're new, here's all you need to know: just show up. 💚 You don't need to bring a dish. You don't need to know a single hymn. You don't need to dress up (though we'd love to see your favorite team's colors!). Pull up a lawn chair, and let our Praise Band and this community welcome you.

There's a meal to follow — provided by our members — and a spot at the table with your name on it. We're also kicking off our kids' Fall Faith Formation classes, so families, this is a wonderful morning to check us out. 📚✨

Come be our guest. Bring the kids, bring a friend, or just bring yourself. However you arrive, you are welcome here. 🙌
